Hotel Lomas Del Volcan is wonderful in every way. The grounds and views are breathtaking. There are beautiful flowers everywhere you look, and the Arenal Volcano is a stunning backdrop. We even saw a sloth and monkeys while enjoying the delicious complimentary buffet breakfast! I also cannot say enough about how truly friendly and welcoming all of the hotel staff are. The hotel is very accessible to restaurants, hot springs, and the La Fortuna Waterfall. We have absolutely loved our stay here and highly recommend for anyone visiting La Fortuna!

Wonderful property close to town and other activities. The staff and concierge were so helpful in planning tours. The pool has a wonderful view of Arenal Volcano. Breakfast was delicious and seating area had great views to bird and animal watch. Will definitely come back.

Beautiful and expansive property with stunning views of the Arenal volcano (when its not raining!). We stayed in a stunning standalone bungalow with vaulted wooded ceilings, huge bathroom, and our own patio. Excellent cooked-to-order breakfast with expansive breakfast buffet.

Overall it’s a nice resort and beautiful bird watching from the breakfast dining. No lights on the sign from the street so you have to be careful or you will miss it. It’s a long walk from parking to your room, the WiFi is quite slow and intermittent and the shower water could be warmer. It’s very nice having your own stand alone suite with porch and patio. We would have preferred a king size bed and a sofa to two queen beds but we slept very comfortably.

If I could give this property 10 stars I would. It is one of the most unique places we’ve stayed. Instead of rooms, each guest gets a cabana style lodge with a patio and back porch that are perfect to take in the nature surrounding you. The included breakfast is amazing - local fare including eggs, sausages, rice and beans, freshly squeezed juices, coffee and MORE. It’s the perfect way to fuel up for a busy day of exploring. The pool area is incredible and has spectacular views of the volcano. The bartender is amazing and,like the rest of the staff, made us feel at home. Speaking of staff - everyone there is extremely friendly. They arranged EVERYTHING - rides, excursions, you name it. They are a small family style group that work in multiple areas. Julian is the best - he’s at the small restaurant and breakfast buffet. He’s everywhere! All of this for an extremely affordable nightlife rate. It’s a must stay in the La Fortuna area.

This is an excellent property that I would absolutely return to. The private bungalows are amazing. The beds and bedding are so comfortable! Staff is friendly. The pool and the hot tub are excellent. I highly recommend this property.

It’s hard picking a hotel when you’ve never been there but I’m so glad we picked this one!! The location is close to town. The pool, hot tub and bar was awesome! We watched monkeys from the pool. Everyone who works there is fantastic! We had a lot of fun with Alex at the pool bar. I’d definitely stay there again.

This was quite a unique experience staying at Hotel Lomas. We enjoyed every aspect of it. The room itself was quite cozy and personal; you had your own front/back porch; the room was clean; the staff was very attentive. Breakfast was delicious each morning. And being surrounded by nature left us a sense of tranquility.

Lomas del volcán is a beautiful property, staff was helpful and friendly. The heated pool is wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel we stayed there to celebrate my wife birthday and they even had a small surprise for her when we got there. Thank you !
