Relaxed
We typically stay in BC along the coast somewhere each year. This year we tried something a little different and stayed on the Washington Coast and we very thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The first evening was the lightening storm so we pulled the sofas to the windows and watched all together (6 of us) for hours. The sofas stayed there for a few days because we all enjoyed the view after a day of either sightseeing or paddling or games on the lawn. We met neighbours who generously shared their crab catch, kayaked and paddle boarded ( our own equipment) and had a family Olympics including the fuse ball and ping pong ball tables. The house is a bit of a time capsule, obviously loved by someone for a very long time and in excellent original shape. Everything about the home was comfortable, especially the amount of room and views from every room. Jackie was more than accommodating answering questions any day and time. La Connor is an adorable town with lots of quality shops to visit right on the water. We will absolutely be back and will remember to bring our crab traps

Family Time
Our stay at the Hope Island house was truly special. There were six of us, grandparents, adult kids, and a toddler. The layout of the house was ideal. The living room windows allowed for beautiful views of the water, as well as all three bedrooms having views and each bedroom also has access to the deck. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked not only with useful gadgets but also with food and nonfood items. Jackie was super helpful and responsive from the moment the reservations were made. She even left some welcome snacks in a basket and in the refrigerator for us, which was greatly appreciated. The ping pong table in the garage was a fun treat. We never got around to playing bocce ball in the big yard. We were too busy enjoying the beach and relaxing. We hope to return to this beautiful oasis.

Hope Island House
We gathered here with family from Alaska and Canada. This is such an inviting home with remarkably engaging views. The Skagit Bay alternates from mirror smooth blue-sky calm to windy, frothy squalls rolling in through Deception Pass. Gorgeous! We enjoyed herons, otters, gulls, Canada geese, crows, songbirds and smiling, puppy-walking beachcombers. Our stay has been peaceful and joyful (and eventful only in side-splitting family stories). We would recommend this day for anyone seeking quiet book-writing solitude or leisurely local exploring or energetic outdoor adventuring. We will happily return. J & L & M & P & F family
