Beautiful, refurbished house, ideal for families wishing to holiday together in this beautiful part of France!

La Chapelle-Montrandeix is a beautiful small village in the heart of the Périgord-Limousin Natural Regional Park. The village has its own village green with children’s activities and 2 minute walk to a bar/restaurant called Chez Jules which serves delicious, quality food. The house is conveniently located within close proximity to many other ‘beau villages’: Cussac, Dournazac and Chalus, each with their own restaurants and food stores. If you can tear yourself away from relaxing around the house’s beautiful garden and pool, you can expect to see picturesque countryside and amazing scenery as Haute Vienne is known as the French Lake District. There are 3,000 lakes within the Limousin area and many of these offer man made beaches with water sports, outdoor zip lines, swimming, paddle boats and cycling. There are lots of historic towns and villages to explore including Brantome, nicknamed the Little Venice of Dordogne, which is a 40 minute drive away. The house is also very close to the Dordogne border providing the opportunity to explore both regions on your doorstep.

This house has been tastefully refurbished to a high standard. The house is suitable for a family of 10. It sits within a pretty Limousin village and has 5 bedrooms in the main house: 1 x Super King-sized bed, with en-suite (refurbished Oct 22), 2 x king-sized bedrooms and 2 x twin rooms. All rooms have new beds, furniture, bed linen and towels including pool towels. The bedrooms are very spacious, with hairdryers and fans. It has a main bathroom with bath and shower and a downstairs toilet. The well-equipped kitchen was refurbished in February 2023 and has oak worktops, an American fridge freezer, gas oven and all the utensils, cooking equipment, crockery, and cutlery you would need. The kitchen leads onto a utility room, which contains a washing machine, a dryer, and a dishwasher. There is also a downstairs shower room off the utility room. Outside the kitchen is an outdoor terrace with seating area and an outdoor kitchen with new top of the range BBQ and sink area. Additional lighting allows you to use this area after dark. From the terrace there are a few steps up to a beautiful pool which has recently had a heating system installed and a new safety alarm. Around the pool there is plenty of room for lounging in the sun or relaxing in the shade of the umbrellas reading your favourite book. The large, comfortable lounge has a comfortable suite and a 7ft, slate bed pool table for family fun. The patio doors can be opened so you can keep an eye on the children if they wish to play in the lounge on the xbox, watch the Freesat TV with access to Netflix or play on the pool table, to get some respite from the sun. To the side of the house is a fabulous under covered dining area which is a must for the summer months when temperatures get very hot. It has a beautiful hand-crafted ash table and benches which can seat 10 people. The lights create a wonderful atmosphere, and it is a fabulous place to sit together for family time in the late evening sun.

The lovely garden is completed surrounded by hedges and a new gate has recently been added to provide further privacy and security. It has views across open fields to the village also has a plum and apple tree, which you are welcome to eat the fruit when in season. Once settled in, you can enjoy the peace and quiet, stretched out on the sun lounger with a glass of chilled wine, or rustle up your own barbeque listening to the birds around you. Set in a National Park, there is plenty to do. Lovely woodland walks from the village or short drives to historic Chateau’s, lakeside beach resorts, activity centres and the Dordogne villages on your doorstep with superb restaurants.

We have a very high standard of cleaning. The whole property will be exclusively for your family and there is no contact check -in. There is ample parking on the driveway for 3 to 4 cars.
