This was a very nice hotel for a family of 3 with a toddler. The most spacious room we have stayed at in all of the hotels we were in while in Japan! It fit 4pcs of our luggage (2big & 2small) with more space for our toddler to crawl and walk around. Staff was also kind to help fill out our forms for luggage delivery. They also showed us the one elevator that lead us outside without having to use the entrance stairs considering we had a baby stroller. The breakfast buffet was also good. Downside was they didn’t have enough pillows to offer us. Nishiki market was 18-20min walk away which isn’t too bad considering we walk a lot while in Japan anyways. Subway is also not too far from the hotel. There’s also convenient store and grocery store nearby! Very convenient that they offer a free shuttle to the Golden temple and bamboo forest - what a bonus! We had a great time during our stay as a family!

Fantastic stay for several nights here. Staff were polite and kind, spoke at least some English (I got by just fine with pigeon Japanese without incident), the room was cleanly kept and towels were changed every morning. Breakfast downstairs was a nice selection of Western and Japanese / Eastern foods. Just off the Marutamachi subway stop in Kyoto so easy to reach most places. Even more beneficial, as of the time of writing, the hotel is offering a free shuttle bus to the Arashiyama area and Kinkaku-Ji temple if reserved. Plus a free Sake tasting in the evening too! Excellent stay, highly recommend.

The room quality was great and guests can help themselves to amenities. The TV displayed which washer/dryer machines were in use, which was helpful. They offer free shuttle bus transportation for guests to the Golden Temple and the Bamboo Forest (reservations required). There are multiple convenience stores within walking distance. Our stay was comfortable and the staff was so nice and welcoming. They even gave us a little send off on our way, which was very sweet.

This property is so convenient. The subway is just a 5 min walk away and there is a nearby market to get any last minute essentials. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Will definitely recommend to any tourist.

Nice location but cramped room
We knew our room would be on the small side as we were travelling as a family of four. The staff were very friendly and the location was great. The breakfast was fine, but not as varied as we would have liked.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They greeted us with some cold towels at check in as it was super hot outside. That really made our day! And this hotel offers shuttle bus to the Golden Temple, bamboo forest and monkey park. It was great! And the staff helped us with our luggage when we checked out. The staff is one of the reasons I would stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast is definitely not worth it. You are better off going somewhere else to eat and taste new things every day. Pictures look nice but the reality is a lot different. The hotel is very well located. Easy access to subway and provides shuttle to 2 main attractions which was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are small but ok. Staff is great but check in is late (3pm) and check out early (10am) which is not common and very inconvenient.

Our stay at the hotel was great! They have a free shuttle bus to the bamboo gardens and also one for the golden temple. Great value overall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in great shape. About a 25 minute walk to central shopping and dining areas. Metro station is a 2 minute walk away.

Excellent for a short stay in kyoto.
The staff was amazing. Made everything easy! They spoke English which helped a lot. Excellent service! The room felt very small for 3 adults but it wasn’t miserable. I would definitely stay there again.
