We liked the room at first, but we had some difficulties getting the key to turn completely to unlock the outer door in the hall. I like the fact that I felt safe and that our things were not going to get stolen, but it was mildly panic-inducing to think that we might have been locked out of our room!
The cleaning service was not great. The maid did NOT put any effort into the making the bed properly, did not re-stock the toilet paper or other things, and basically did a poor job of cleaning anything, if she did any cleaning at all. That might have contributed to my bed bug scare.
Fortunately, I do not think it was bed bugs. My husband spilled some loose leaf tea in his bag and it must've spilled out onto the bed, and he didn't tell me about it until after I noticed little black specs in the bed. The black flecks and some stains on the bed had me worried that although it *might* be bed bugs, it might not. Just to be safe, though, I called the front desk and requested a different room. The staff was super accommodating and moved us to a different apartment in the dead of night just for ease of mind. However, we did have some issues with our new room. The phone in the new apartment wasn't working, so we had to walk back to their check-in counter to tell them, which luckily was a bit closer to our new location, but still annoying. We got chocolates for our troubles and a free shuttle back to the airport.
