Centrally located just a few steps from where the speedboats pick up & drop off, and a few more steps to Walking Street. The hotel itself is beautifully done with a gorgeous reception area right by the pool - fountain, mod light fixtures, and lounge chairs everywhere. Our room made us equally happy - chilly AC, lots of natural light, and spacious.
We ran into a few issues. The first was the wifi. Granted, you're in paradise & likely busy with sunbathing, snorkel excursions, and getting massages - but we still would have liked to msg the house sitter back home, upload photos, or download fresh books to read. But the speed was painfully slow, and often intermittent at best. Given how well the wifi worked on the rest of the island, it was perplexing that it was so poor at the hotel itself.
We also had an issue re: the lounge chairs. There are many around the pool, 1 for each room, & more beach side. The beach side chairs didn't consistently have pads. I asked to use one from the pool, or the one from our room, & was told this wasn't allowed. No reason, no extra pads available - just 'no.' I realize I could have asked forgiveness rather than permission, but this struck me as poor customer service on the part of the staff. Given the beach side location is part of the appeal, I was disappointed this couldn't be accommodated.
Customer svc at dinner was also a bit lacking. Drinks took forever to come out & we were the only diners at that hour so not sure what drove the delay.
