The beach is really pretty in this area, but it gets REALLY windy in the afternoon. Go to the beach in the morning (go to the areas with the palm trees—SO BEAUTIFUL) and go do other things after the wind comes in. The pool is cute and intimate (small). The hot tub was out of order, but it was too hot for hot tubbing anyway. We had so much fun at this property. They let you use their beach umbrellas, chairs and coolers for free.

The 3 bedroom penthouse was amazing. It was so spacious and the balconies were wonderful. Leni at the front desk was so wonderful, helpful, and sweet! Our family was very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay. The only draw back was the fridge water and ice didnt work, but the hotel had an ice machine and water machine in the office for use. The coffee each morning was sooooo.... good! The grounds were so beautiful and truly felt private.

A nice place to stay in Kihei
We really enjoyed our stay at Kohea Kai. Check in was easy and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The little balcony was great for an evening cocktail and morning coffee. And, best of all, we were just across the street from the beach. The only drawback was that parking is tight.
