Ella’s was well-maintained, pretty and tranquil. Staff was friendly, especially innkeepers, Dwight and Michael. Both are tremendous assets to Ella’s, but we mainly interacted with Dwight. He went above and beyond, from his welcoming text the day before our arrival, to the cute welcoming/birthday treats, to ensuring Michael was aware of what we needed the day we were leaving. He responded immediately to our requests and always with a genuine smile and positive attitude. We felt so welcomed which made for an even more enjoyable and relaxing stay. We loved the breakfast basket delivery each morning filled with a tasty variety of healthy proteins, fruits, grains, OJ, etc., and a wellness shot of OJ mixed with turmeric, cayenne pepper, and other health-promoting spices. Not sure if it was psychosomatic, but I felt amazing after drinking the shot each morning! Afternoon tea was also a plus. The room was cozy with a very comfortable bed. My only complaints are noise-related. Rooms are not sound proof so when the AC was off, it sounded as if our neighbors were in our room. Also, AC is very loud, so we had to turn the TV up considerably, yet be mindful of our neighbors. I know mini slits are expensive to install and maintain, but the owners may want to consider them. I think it would be a worthwhile investment, not only for guests’ comfort, but they’re cost efficient. Overall, Ella’s was wonderful; we’d definitely rebook. I’ve already told friends and family and they’re considering.
