Ella’s was wonderful. We went for a redo honeymoon. Dwight is wonderful at the front desk. My husband and I loved the daily breakfast. The pool was quaint and grounds are beautiful. Definitely will be coming back to Ella’s.

We stayed at Ella’s Cottages over Thanksgiving. We enjoyed our stay here. Their daily breakfast brought to you in a basket was a great way to start the day. The staff was super friendly. The pool area was nice and relaxing. The rooms were clean, bathroom were a little small, could have used more shelf space for your toiletries. Ella’s is a great location for walking to all your favorite locations. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything about Ella’s cottages was beyond our expectations. The secluded garden pool area, the breakfast delivery every morning, the amazing friendly staff and a wonderful location. I am looking forward to going back.

Ella’s was well-maintained, pretty and tranquil. Staff was friendly, especially innkeepers, Dwight and Michael. Both are tremendous assets to Ella’s, but we mainly interacted with Dwight. He went above and beyond, from his welcoming text the day before our arrival, to the cute welcoming/birthday treats, to ensuring Michael was aware of what we needed the day we were leaving. He responded immediately to our requests and always with a genuine smile and positive attitude. We felt so welcomed which made for an even more enjoyable and relaxing stay. We loved the breakfast basket delivery each morning filled with a tasty variety of healthy proteins, fruits, grains, OJ, etc., and a wellness shot of OJ mixed with turmeric, cayenne pepper, and other health-promoting spices. Not sure if it was psychosomatic, but I felt amazing after drinking the shot each morning! Afternoon tea was also a plus. The room was cozy with a very comfortable bed. My only complaints are noise-related. Rooms are not sound proof so when the AC was off, it sounded as if our neighbors were in our room. Also, AC is very loud, so we had to turn the TV up considerably, yet be mindful of our neighbors. I know mini slits are expensive to install and maintain, but the owners may want to consider them. I think it would be a worthwhile investment, not only for guests’ comfort, but they’re cost efficient. Overall, Ella’s was wonderful; we’d definitely rebook. I’ve already told friends and family and they’re considering.

The location is perfect. The walls are a little thin and as others have said the pool is rather comical, but the breakfast baskets and friendliness of the staff more than make up!!!!! The pool -for adults- is actually perfect, a place to sit and cool off and also perfect for little wee ones, but may be disappointing for more active children. The room has a refrigerator, which is an added bonus for us, but really the breakfast basket with all its goodies will keep us coming back! What a marvelous way to start your day!

We stayed for 4 nights. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is walkable to Duval. There is also a free Duval loop bus service that is right out front of the hotel if you don’t feel like walking. We had a great experience and hope to come back again soon.

We have stayed at this property several other times when it was Kimpton. There were noticeable declines in the overall condition. The room smelled extremely heavily of carpet deodorizer upon entry to room 12. Condition and cleanliness were average. I must say that the gentleman at the desk was very polite and helpful. No complaints there. Overnight we had a very sizeable cockroach in the bathroom and another in the morning. We talked with the front desk. Long and short of it they comp’ed our parking/resort fee. But needless to say we won’t be returning to our once favored hotel. Period. Very disappointing stay.

Loved our spacious cottage with the patio. Our favorite part of our stay was the breakfast brought to us each morning. Dwight took care of us and he doted on our dog. Highly recommend! Very convenient to Duval Street. Easy walking to restaurants, shops and bars.

Ella’s Cottages in Key West was the perfect place to celebrate my 50th birthday! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. Dwight and Mike, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable—they even provided us with a complimentary upgrade to our room once they learned it was a milestone celebration! Dwight’s warm smile truly brightened our day every time we saw him, adding such a positive and personal touch to our experience. The accommodations were simply lovely, beautifully decorated, cozy, and comfortable, providing a true island feel that was both relaxing and charming. Each morning, we looked forward to the wonderful continental breakfast delivered right to our door in an adorable basket. The selection was delicious, with a variety of baked goods, egg bites, yogurt, and fresh fruit—perfect for starting the day. The atmosphere around the pool was laid-back and chill, making it an ideal spot for our group of friends to gather, unwind, and soak up the beautiful weather. Merlin’s Tea at 3pm each day was a nice treat, as well! I couldn’t imagine a better place to spend this special occasion. Ella’s Cottages truly made our trip to Key West memorable!
