The Loft enjoys an artfully designed living space. From the unique second floor lofted bedroom area to the private home office, and the bathroom featuring locally sourced Adirondack pine, each detail has been carefully considered for comfort and experience. Custom pieces accent the space and support talented local artisans. Bright, light colors welcome in an abundance of natural light.
Ideal for solo travelers, couples, or small families / groups, this 700sf space easily accommodates 1-3 guests, and we welcome up to 4 guests for larger groups who don't mind closer quarters.
We are happy to extend a warm welcome to pets as well, because we know they need to enjoy the mountains too. If you are planning to bring your pet, please add them to your reservation as we charge a $75 pet fee per stay (up to 2 potty trained, well-behaved pets).

The Loft has one lofted open studio style bedroom on the whole second floor and features a queen-sized bed and a dresser.
Extra Sleeping Areas: The bedroom area has a twin-sized trundle bed tucked underneath the main bed, providing an extra sleeping area. The first floor living area also features a daybed style couch with a twin mattress, offering another comfortable sleeping option when needed. Extra linens are stored in the guest stock area for easy access. In total, The Loft features three beds: one queen, one twin trundle, and one twin daybed style couch.
BATHROOM: The bathroom features locally sourced Adirondack pine finishes, a shower and a custom built double vanity. A separate shower / toilet room within the bathroom ensures ease of use for multiple guests at once.
LIVING AREA & ENTERTAINMENT: The first floor living room has a daybed-style couch with a chair for lounging. A loft net suspended in the ceiling over the living area presents an additional lounging spot. Vaulted ceilings and natural light make the space feel open and airy.
For entertainment, there is a large TV equipped with a Chromecast device, allowing you to stream your preferred video service. High-speed, fiber optic Wi-Fi ensures you can stream videos easily.
KITCHEN / DINING AREA: Designed with vintage elements, the combined kitchen / dining area is equipped with all the essentials providing everything you need for an enjoyable cooking experience, whether staying for a few days or a few months.
WORKSPACE / PRIVATE OFFICE: An efficient, custom-designed workspace in a private home office comes with a computer monitor, allowing for comfortable remote working with a large second screen. High-speed, fiber optic Wi-Fi ensures you can take video calls or stream easily.
EXTERIOR SPACE: The small covered porch has a roof overtop protecting from the elements. There is a gas grill on the porch outside completing the cooking experience.
GROUNDS & SURROUNDINGS: The Loft sits a little further back off the main strip behind our other guesthouse and provides privacy while being close to everything. Being right in town, the lot is small but we have private parking with enough room to comfortably fit two vehicles, (or possibly three smaller ones if needed) and a small unfenced backyard. Local dining and shopping options are just a short walk away - You can walk to 46 Restaurant, Cedar Run Market, East Branch Organics, as well as our awesome neighbor Dartbrook South for artfully curated Adirondack goods & products. There’s even a public EV charger just a 2 minute walk from the house. Enjoy the convenience of town living just steps away.

Known as the 'Home of the High Peaks', Keene is a small, quiet, picturesque town, coveted for its central proximity amidst the mountains and major trailheads. LOCAL FLAVORS: We provide locally sourced and roasted organic coffee from the best local roasters we have found in the ADK (either Jambs in Westport or Old Mountain Coffee in Keene Valley) and locally sourced organic hot cocoa powder. We also provide locally produced Maple Syrup right from Keene.
4. HIGH SPEED INTERNET: The space is equipped with fiber optic high-speed Wi-Fi.
5. ECO-FRIENDLY PRACTICES: We are committed to the environment, which is why all our cleaning products, soaps, and detergents are, as best we can find, eco-friendly, plant-derived, and non-toxic. All waste bags are biodegradable. Our down blankets are all "Responsible Down Certified"
6. HEPA AIR FILTRATION: The space comes equipped with a HEPA air purifier to ensure maximum air quality (HEPA even filters out viruses like Covid).
7. LOCALLY SOURCED MATERIALS & LOCAL CRAFTSMEN: Many pieces you will see throughout the property came locally sourced from the Adirondacks. We worked with local craftsmen on custom design, fabrication and wood work. From the locally sourced beams in the living room to the vanity in the bathroom - wherever we could find, materials were procured locally.

Our head cleaner, has professional experience from a leading Lake Placid hotel and between each stay, we conduct a comprehensive multi-hour cleaning. We don't just stop at cleaning; we also focus on air quality and aerate the house utilizing a HEPA air purifier between each stay (HEPA even helps filter viruses like Covid-19 and Flu).

HOUSE RULES:
1. RESPECTING OUR NEIGHBORS AND THE COMMUNITY: When you stay with us, you become a member of our community and we ask that you strongly respect those in the surrounding area looking to enjoy the quiet serene natural environment. In order to respect our neighbors and community we do not allow any loud music, loud noise, loud talking, yelling, or otherwise boisterous behavior, etc. We ask that you please be quiet and respectful of neighbors, especially during quiet hours as we may have guests staying in the adjoining unit.
2. QUIET HOURS from 8:00pm-8:00am.
3. NO PARTIES: large gatherings, parties, or events are not permitted on site.
4. NO SMOKING/VAPING in the house or use of illegal substances
5. REGISTERING GUESTS: The number of guests must be reported on the reservation. Only the number of guests booked are allowed to stay. Unregistered guests are $50 extra per night.
6. SEPTIC:
- Bathroom: We are on a septic system so please kindly note that only toilet paper can go in the toilet, nothing else - especially no tissues, no diapers, no wipes (even “flushable” wipes) and no feminine hygiene products.
- Kitchen: We also ask that you refrain from pouring grease or oil of any kind down the sink drain to avoid any septic/plumbing issues. Instead please kindly dispose of them in the garbage bin in the kitchen. Thank you 😊
7. Shoes & Gear off in the house.
8. DEPARTURE ON TIME: Guests are required to vacate the property by checkout time unless we've approved a late checkout. Any unapproved late departures will incur additional fees & accommodation costs due to cleaner wait times and delaying of the following guest stay. That being said, if you do need a late departure just ask and we'd be happy to accommodate you if we can.
9. RESPECTING THE PROPERTY: All bookings are accepted on the basis that Guest agrees to respect the property and will leave it in an orderly, tidied up, damage-free condition consistent with how it was delivered (with normal use expected, of course). Moving of furnishings is also not permitted. The space should be ready for our cleaners to perform a routine cleaning and laundry / linens changeover to be ready for the next stay. Should the premises be left in a lesser condition or require above normal levels of cleaning, maintenance or repair, the Guest shall be responsible for any additional cleaning, maintenance, and repairs expenses.
