Spacious - Comfortable - Private. Looking for an Adirondack Mountain vacation for a large family, extended family or a getaway with friends? This 4-bedroom home has 6 beds, plus additional sleeping. Bedroom 1: 1 King Bed; Bedroom 2: 1 Queen plus 1Twin; Bedroom 3: 1 King; Bedroom 4: 1 Queen plus 1 Twin. Plus, there are 2 additional fold-up twin beds available in closet of king bedrooms to roll out; linens, blankets & pillows included, all on 2nd floor. 2nd Floor has 2 full bathrooms, one in the Master Bedroom, the 2nd in hallway just outside of bedrooms. On the main floor, for additional sleeping, or for someone not wanting to climb stairs, the living room couch pulls out to a queen bed and the couch in den pulls out to a full bed, technically a 5th bedroom, allowing room for 12 people maximum. Nightly pricing is for 8 guests, however, there is sufficient room for up to 4 additional guests (total 12 guests) for an additional $50/guest/night. Main Floor has a 3rd full bathroom (vanity, toilet, shower unit). Laundry room adjacen with full size washer/dryer; various detergents Included. Home hosts a spacious kitchen - fully equipped with pots/pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, platters, coffee/tea station, slow cooker, pasta/lobster pot, plus much more. Plenty of room for multiple cooks. The breakfast table has seating for 6-8 plus with counter seating; large living room with 2 couches and 4 comfy chairs (2 swivel/rocker/recliners); dining room for 8-12. Front den offers a convertible couch (opens to full-size couch), with modest privacy as an additional bedroom to sleep, relax, read a book or play a game. Out back is a large deck which overlooks the AuSable River with a bbq grill and deck seating for all. To spend time by the water, just go down the back stairs and follow the path leading right to the shore of the river. The front porch has volleyball nets and badminton nets, croquet, etc., basketball/soccer ball/kickball for spring/summer/fall and a selection of sleds for winter sliding. The property is adjacent to the Keene Community Center which offers a Playground for young children (as of 4/04, currently being updated), basketball & tennis courts, ice skating rink in winter with sledding hill, sports field and a Pavillion; available to reserve for occasions i.e., birthday party, bridal shower, etc. Home is within walking distance to a wonderful fresh/homemade bakery/food store and nearby restaurants, shops, etc. The house is centrally located in the Adirondack High Peaks with just a short drive to most of the Adirondack 46 mountains and a15-20 scenic drive to Lake Placid. Welcome packet provided with information regarding local restaurants, grocery stores, beer/wine/liquor shops, etc. with phone numbers or website info. Plenty of parking in driveway for multiple cars. This is a vacation home for everyone to enjoy their own space plus room to enjoy each others' company...an Adirondack Oasis!

The house was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. The location is perfect for hiking in the Dacks! The only thing was that it was a bit cold inside the house even we turned up the heat. I would definitely stay here again.

The perfect place for a group!
Our group loved staying here. The price was right. We were equally close to downtown Lake Placid and a ton of trails to hike the high peaks. And everyone loved having the river right in the back yard! Overall, a great place and we'll return again if our group stays at the same size it was this year.

Very comfortable and spacious house in the heart of the high peaks region. Excellent location. The hosts thought of everything, especially the little things that can be annoying to have to find in a small town on vacation, garbage bags, detergent, dish soap etc. Highly recommend.

Xmas ski trip
Property owner and host were incredibly responsive to the needs of our large party (2 families with children), even bought sleds for the younger children. The house is spacious and warm with lots of options for group gatherings as well as areas for quiet, solo activities like reading. The view of the Ausable River from family room is magnificent. Location is easy to find and convenient for Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. Even found a charger down the road for our electric vehicle and grocery/convenient/hardware stores were readily accessible for items we'd forgotten to pack.

Great location and lots of space
Great, quiet location in Keene just off Rte. 73 and Rte 9N. Easy access to high peaks hiking in Keene. Picturesque back yard. Easy communication with host. Lots of space in the home to accommodate larger parties.
