Difficult to find with the bridge closed; should have got a message from hotel that bridge was closed and have to drive the long way around. Key did not work in my room; and i had to get another. Nice view of the mountains from the room - place a bit dated. Breakfast was tasty but it ended at 9 am ---- would have loved being on holiday for it to go to at least 10am.

I am 29 years old, travelling with my girlfriend. This hotel is so underrated. The room was very clean and prettier than online photos may suggest. The view on the mountains was simply perfect. It has an authentic hawaiian vibe and is close to nature. The owner, Philip, as all the staff, were very friendly. The pool is clean, the breakfast is convenient. We had music shows three times. We definitely recommend!!

Overall a charming place in Kauai and so glad we found it. The other reviews are spot on: great location not far from the airport and to get to other spots, especially the south, Waimea Canyon (and more). Very thoughtful service, nice breakfast options with the 24-hr coffee & tea bar. Clean room, comfy bed, and even Hawaiian Tropic toiletries to bring back the coconut smell of my youth. Fun vibe on the grounds with live musicians on certain nights, peacocks amongst the plethora of chickens in the morning, and lovely foliage. Mahalo for a great stay!🌺

Lovely staff and place. Worth every penny! Location is close to airport, local stores, & restaurants. I highly recommend and the breakfast is a plus. Very clean, quite, spacious rooms with a/c.

Stunning location- beautiful mountains view! Lush flowers and trees all over the property. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful- local fruit and fresh pastries!!! Loved this trip for our small fam - my husband and I and our 11 yo son.

Cute little plantation style facility. Older but clean and off the beaten path which we loved. Breakfast would be classified as more of a continental breakfast of which choices were not as healthy as a diabetic would hope for So we did opt to eat breakfast away from there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool was small but well kept. Would stay again.

Fresh fruit to include dragon fruit, mangos, papaya, and grapefruit as an option for breakfast was amazing. Great views for pictures and the guy singing and playing the ukulele Hawaiian music was beautiful and relaxing.

Basic Old Hotel
A very basic hotel, nothing special. The place is clean but out of the way with the bridge closure. This is not a resort so do not expect to much. In my opinion it is over priced for what you get. If you need an inexpensive, clean room for a night or two it’s OK. It has all that you need but is tattered and shows its age.
