Kandima Maldives offers 270 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature minibars and espresso makers. Rooms open to furnished balconies or patios. Each accommodation is individually furnished and decorated. Tempur-Pedic beds feature premium bedding. 43-inch Smart televisions come with premium satellite channels. Bathrooms include bathtubs or showers with rainfall showerheads and hydromassage showerheads, bathrobes, slippers, and bidets.

So the room was perfect and the views were unmatched! The weakness of the facility is their need to nickel and dime their guests at every corner with non-included things all over the island despite me being all inclusive. The next weakness was the staff apart from one fantastic bartender Rasel which I loved, many of the hospitality staff weren’t very friendly on top of the buffet area the tables were not kept clean and was often hard to find a place to sit. As far as the dining establishments go I felt the food was subpar for a place of its quality with many things not appearing on the menu that were advertised. Finally I was unable to make a single snorkel trip with them always being cancelled due to possible storms even on the best days.

Would have been 5 stars but there was a huge negative for us. We had paid for full board however of the 2 restaurants included one was closed for refurbishment. This meant every lunch and dinner we had to drag our 2 kids (one is 8 months old) to the other end of the island. Can either get a buggy or walk. Depending on how lucky you get with timing this could be 15-20mins on either option. A walk that far with 2 kids prams was unpleasant in the heat too! The staff in Kandiland were good as was Laizan the bus driver (apologies name likely incorrectly spelt!). He was great with our son.

The staff was great and very accommodating. The rooms are nice and clean, they even have a Nespresso machine. We loved the breakfast at Zest, however, the food in the outlets was overpriced and average at best. There are plenty of activities, especially for kids, we loved the live entertainment at the bar at night. One thing we did not like was the smoking policy. Everywhere we went, people smoked, whether it was at the pools, the bar or the restaurant. Very annoying.

Kandima is one of the several resorts but we liked the family friendliness of this resort. Does this place have the activities that an all inclusive in the Carribean has, probably not but it is a still a quiet place to spend maybe 4-5 days. Not too many dining options. And ironically the restaurants are only open in the evenings. For the price + all inclusive option, expected a bit more. Hence giving only 4 stars.

A Stunning Island with Room for Improvement – Honest Review of Kandima Maldives We recently stayed at Kandima Maldives and, while the island itself is absolutely stunning and the surroundings nothing short of paradise, there were unfortunately several aspects of our stay that left us feeling disappointed – especially considering the amount we spent. Let’s start with the positives: The setting is truly breathtaking – turquoise waters, white sands, and beautifully maintained grounds. Our accommodation was comfortable and well-designed, and the staff were generally friendly and professional. The food was delicious, with a good variety across restaurants, and the resort offered a good mix of activities and relaxation. However, as beautiful as the island is, there are definitely areas where Kandima falls short – especially when it comes to value for money and customer experience. Firstly, everything is priced without tax and service charges. You’ll be quoted a price, but then a 10% tax and a non-negotiable 16% service charge are added on top – which means you’re paying an additional 26% on everything. This significantly inflates costs. We were on a bed and breakfast package and in hindsight, we really should have opted for all-inclusive. Prices on the island are extortionate – $9 for a Coke, $9++ for a beer, and simple lunches or dinners quickly rack up. We ended up spending close to $3,000 just on food and drinks over the course of our stay. When we enquired about switching

Definitely do not recommend the service was terrible the staff was rude and terrible. Way way over priced biggest scam. They don’t communicate at all with each other for anything meaning we payed all exclusive for a bungalow on the water, they charged us for everything and anything the food made me sick for 2 days. The only thing that was good was the fruit! That’s it! What we payed for was suppose to everything included Then when we showed our email explaining why are we paying so much more money when you didn’t say anything about nothing included on your website they said things were our fault that we didn’t get an email, instead of taking responsibility how poor the staff and service was. Our last day They also made us check out in the morning came to our room unannounced when me and my fiancé were still sleeping so we had a rush to get everything out because they messed up our flight info going back to the airport again also said was our fault and lied saying they don’t talk with the airport when they do check out was not until noon. Very disappointed we will NEVER BE COMING BACK! They definitely did not like Americans we were being followed around and nobody else was. Very uncomfortable frustrated experience this was not a cheap vacation instead of enjoying we were stressed out. Not right did nothing to make things right. Please don’t waste your time and money coming here.
