"Stay at tha Alven Hotel was ok in General. Front desk staff did not speak English so I used a translator app. Hotel was divided in two (old vs new) areas. I was placed in the old side myself and room had a antique vibe. Room was comfortable but a 32 inch tv too small for the size of the room. The wifi was slow & often disconnected from my tablet. The restaurant & staff were pleasant. Pool area nice. The hotel surroundings needs mayor fixings. Anything from abandoned buildings & places with graffiti. "

"This looked like a wonderful place, but we never found out because we couldn't get in. The code they sent us didn't work, and all attempts to contact them failed. This was late at night in the pouring rain...we eventually found another hotel and spent over $100 USD more for it...all because the code didn't work and we couldn't get in. I contacted hotels.com and asked for a refund, but they wouldn't give it to me because the property owner wouldn't agree to it. Obviously, there's a risk with booking a room here...if the property owner decides to not refund you for whatever reason, you're out of luck - hotels.com won't help you. :( I think this could have been a great experience, I just wish we could have stayed there. :)"

"Spent a couple of days at this hotel and overall was a good experience. Hotel is right in the middle of everything. You can literally go walking distance to various locations. Hotel inside very clean, housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping my room smelling so good. Clean sheets, towels, replenish always with shampoo &soap. My only gripe was that hotel personal did not spek English. I ended up using google translate to resolve this inconvenience. Hotel surroundings outside need some work since some sidewalks are craked or broken. "
