Great duplex stay!
The property is very attractive and well maintained. The unit itself was clean, smelled nice, and the bed was comfy! We LOVED having a kitchen to enjoy a leisurely breakfast & visit the neighbor’s fluffy cat. Being able to open the blinds to watch the thunderstorms was wonderful! The owner was very nice and responsive to our needs. However, the high booking fee for what we received provided no value to us. We knew where we wanted to stay in Jefferson, having been there many times before, so there was no need for a booking agency to do the looking for us. There were differences between the management company’s online information and what we experienced staying in the unit, so that information needs to be updated. In addition, they could not answer questions about amenities in the house before we arrived, which required us to bring a number of items that we ultimately did not need. We were disappointed to learn that the damage waiver of seventy two dollars and the cleaning fee of fifty five dollars were non-refundable even as we left the unit clean and undamaged. Since they are non-refundable, we would recommend that these expenses be added to the daily rate for the rental, rather than give the customer a surcharge of two hundred seven dollars total, which constituted a roughly thirty percent increase above the regular room/tax rate.
