Summary:
If you’re looking for a clean, cozy apt in the heart of an up & coming historic district then this is the spot for you! You’ll be steps from restaurants, an amazing coffee shop, & 3 breweries.
Historic Springfield is filled with gorgeous historic homes, lush parks, and new development, but its location is not ideal for travelers seeking a fully developed neighborhood.
Of note, this apt is adjacent to 8th St (a major thoroughfare) so you WILL experience some street noise while staying here!
The Space:
Guests have access to the entire 2 BR / 1 BA apartment featuring hardwood floors in every room except the kitchen and bathroom.
The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed. It also has an average-sized 6 drawer dresser which is great for longer term guests.
Additionally, there is a night stand, a chest of drawers, and a closet.
The 2nd bedroom features a full-sized bed with a memory foam/spring hybrid mattress, two nightstands, a six drawer dresser, and a closet.
The living room includes a sleeper sofa with a cot that you pull out and pop up to form a full-sized bed when combined with the ottoman, a wall-mounted Smart TV (with local channels, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu), a desk, and a kitchen table.
The kitchen is stocked with utensils, a microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven, refrigerator/freezer, oven/range, cooking utensils/cutlery and plates.
The bathroom is supplied with towels, and shower items (soap, shampoo, conditioner).
Guest Access:
Guests have the apartment completely to themselves. There is a shared atrium with several other apartments and a shared 1st floor laundry room as well.
The Neighborhood:
Springfield is amazing! It is a diverse, vibrant, up and coming neighborhood located just north of Jacksonville's downtown. You'll initially fall in love with the gorgeous late 19th/early 20th century houses but you'll want to stay for the amazing people. Join a First Friday party, check out the weekly Main Street cruise, downtown's Art Walk, Porchfest if you're in town in the fall, or one of the yearly home tours.
