Fairfield Marriott - A Motel 6 Upgrade
Hotel had a nice bed, OK shower (2 basics). The elevator was scarry -- I used the stairs as much as possible, as I didn't want to become entrapped...the elevator had some kind of mechanical problem, which appeared to drop a foot or two with a loud noise suddenly, The breakfast was a 2 out of 10. The back door security lock was mostly disabled. The desk wouldn't look up my Mariott rewards number, so I didn't get credit for the stay in the program.

I wasn't pleased about being on the first floor. I asked if I could have another room but was told they had cleaned the carpet on the upper floors and it was going to take awhile to dry:(. Being next to the main street was a lil noisy, but overhall not too bad. I eould chose another hotel next time. Breakfast attendant wasn't too friendly either.

The room smelled terrible with a musty smell and damp feeling. Signs say the windows don't open, but that was incorrect as the windows open and there are no screens. Cleanliness of the room was mediocre at best, as we found random hairs in the room and the comforter had a stain on it. Staff was nice in general.

The hotel is run down and in need of some updates but the service is terrible. When we arrived back after our first night, no one had been in to clean the room. The next morning at breakfast I asked why it hadn’t been cleaned and I was told they only clean every other day. The desk agent took my room number and assured me it would be cleaned that day. When we arrived back that night we saw that no one had been in the room to clean again. I went to the front desk to get fresh towels and let the desk agent know I was irritated and she said sorry and gave me new towels. The breakfast attendant is rude and pushy. It appears that no one working at this hotel likes they job.

There was a horrible smell in our initial room when we entered. The staff was kind enough to switch our rooms. However, we still had issues coughing etc even the next day. The hotel is very dated and I guess we were expecting ting a bit more updated from a Fairfield/Marriott. However, your staff is fine. Thank you

Desperately need to do something with your fitness center. Smells like a week old gym bag, the elliptical wasn't working, and only one of the two treadmills was functioning fully. Staff was pleasant, breakfast setup was good, and the room itself was fine.
