The receptionist put me in the wrong room.That had someone in it didn't know what the hell she was doing.There was a line of 3 or more people because she was nowhere to be found when we first came there. After the room Issue she put me in another room The place smelled like dog and mold. The bed was atrocious.I literally checked out after being there for about an hour.See the pictures below.I was wrongly suggested going somewhere else

Great location if you need to access the airport or hospital (we were there to visit family in UF Shands North). Bc the trip was unexpected, we had to bring our dogs rather than boarding them and the hotel was great for this.

The hotel was in a good area. Our room was clean but the shower nozzle was broken. The gym had multiple broken pieces of equipment. The gym was a nice size to keep distance from others. In the middle of the week, there was a loud DJ in the lobby for a party that you could hear into our room as we were right on the first floor next to the lobby. When asking the staff when it would end, she told us the DJ would be playing until 10:30pm. I had to wake up super early for a meeting so the loud noises made getting to bed at a decent time very challenging. Our check in and check out was nice and staff was kind.

The room was not clean (specifically a filthy shower divider, bathroom and entry floors covered in stains and dirt, torn curtains, noisy AC unit that sounds like it’s falling apart, and dirty nightstands). The one clean part of the room was the bed. I decided to leave and contact Expedia to get a refund. They connected me with who I assume is the manager, Kaitlin. In my conversation with Kaitlin, she came across as adversarial and condescending. She refused to help because we contacted Expedia first. Even though we had been in the room 5 minutes she refused to give us a refund. Her exact quote was: “unfortunately because you didn’t come to the front desk, we were unable to reach a solution.” We actually have a solution though, and that’s going to another hotel and writing this review :)
