Great location and classy vibe. Great rooftop bar with panoramic views, though the pool was small, but good for social media pics. Jazz singer in the lounge on Friday was a nice touch.

Check-in went well and our bellboy- a 16-year-old trainee was excellent. Our housekeeper was great at attending to our needs although she did not speak English. But the service in the main resturant on the ground floor was awful. The staff were preoccupied with their personal conversations and paid little to no attentionto the guests. Also they shouted across the room to each other disrupting what should have been a relaxing atmosphere. They marred our entire experience. We stayed in Club Pera rooms but were not afforded the benefits without having toargue for them. A daily happy hour for Pera Club members did not appear to exist. When I enquired about it, staff spent about 30 minutes investigating and rhen told me I could have a free drink. Not at all what was listed as happy hour.

Very bad experience. The hotel is next to 3 nightclubs. I was traveling with 4 small children and non of us got to sleep until 4am. The reception staff weren't very helpful and eventually offered us ear plugs. The room service food was also inedible. I eventually checked out 1 night early and checked into another hotel without the help from Expedia or any refund or discount from this hotel. I wish there was some notice about the hotel being in a club surrounding, it is not for families

Great location to check out all the tourist sites of Istanbul! We would totally recommend for couples and young adults as it was in the heart of the action for shopping, dinning and night life. We loved this ocation but stayed with small children and next time will probably stay somewhere off the beaten path and more family friendly with kids

The staff's behavior was very insulting and aggressive A two-star hotel with the cost of a four-star one. Don’t be fooled by its pretty pictures. The photos are much better than the reality If your language skills aren't strong, avoid this hotel. They are not prepared to handle tourists.

Lovely stay
A lovely stay and a warm welcome from Muhammet on reception. Clean facilities with toiletries provided including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser. Upgraded to a lovely waterfront view. I didn’t use the pool but great that they have one.

The hotel is tall, but small. The roof top bar and restaurant are rented out to a third party. You can only use the pool till 5 pm and access the area until then, unless you drink at the bar or eat at the restaurant. The restaurant is 3 or 5 course menus and on the pricey side. The view from the roof top bar is amazing. The best part of all. Too bad we only got the enjoy it once, due to the place being closed on Sundays and private party one other night. The rooms were small, but clean. Plenty of choices for breakfast. The area around the hotel is very busy. You can barely stop to unload your car. Parking is valet only. We had an issue with that, but it was resolved. Music blasting till 1:30 am every night. After that it gets quiet and nice. Ventilation was not good - cigarette smell every night. We had 2 rooms, only one had the smell.

Amazing view with lovely staff!
We had a wonderful stay at Marmara Pera. Enjoying early check in (much much appreciated after an overnight flight) and a high floor room with a city view (view to die for), we could not fault the service at the hotel. Breakfast was tasty and had a good selection, gym was a little small but had everything we needed. The rooftop had lovely view but with so much to explore we did not spend much time there. It happened to be my birthday during the stay and I received a little treat, too. A very sweet touch. The Michelin-star restaurant on the rooftop has nice views but we did not try; only enquired - my understanding it is a separate business and the service did not match the kindness of hotel staff. The hotel is in a great location, loads of restaurants and sightseeing can be done on foot, or short taxi drive away. Both airports are 45mins away (traffic depending). Definitely recommend.

Two rooms next to us has many young men were quiet noisy and indiscreet. I had to warn staff and themselves couple times. Finally they kept quiet. Other than that , it was comfortable and convinient stay.

Good but not good enough for the price
A beautiful hotel in many respects but with oddities. Firstly the location is excellent, near to bars and restaurants and an easy walk to the MTR or even across to the Haggia Sofia and Blue Mosque. The Marmara itself was a curate's egg. We asked for a non-smoking room and were given connected rooms that both had ash-trays and the lingering scent of smoke. As we arrived at 3am we didn't make a big deal about this. The rooftop was beautiful but oddly unstaffed everytime we went up despite having a fully stocked bar and the most beautiful sunset views. The breakfast was superb as was the decor in the rooms and the beds but the lobby looked like an aspiration Moscow hotel in the late 1980s. The views from the room were fabulous though but the price point is very much let down by the lobby.
