Lovely property
Excellent stay - very nice design, clean, good beds, cozy kitchen. Stairs upstairs are tricky and not great in the dark. Sam is an excellent host and great tour guide. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Accommodation
Absolutely loved our stay. We found plenty to do with our 3 boys , ages 11,13 & 13. Boys loved the pool! Samuelle is a wonderful host. Visited an adventure park about 20/25 mins away. Easy to drive around too with supermarket , petrol station and town only a short drive away. Even a Mc Ds which the kids were very impressed about ! Quiet , beautiful location. Visited some wonderful places just a little drive away. Thankyou for sharing your wonderful home with us. Clean accomadation, with everything we needed.

Beautiful Retreat in Heart of Normandy
We loved our stay in Samuelle’s beautifully restored farmhouse. She is a fantastic host- offering up anything you need to make your stay more enjoyable. The location is perfect for visiting nearby D-Day beaches, Bayeux and other sites. The garden is a tranquil setting to relax and chat about the day’s adventures over a glass of local cider. Thank you, Samuelle for hosting us. We loved our time there!

Perfection in Normandy
We have just returned from an unforgettable stay at Clos De Bliss in Utah House made even better by Samuelle’s unswerving enthusiasm to ensure you have the perfect stay. The house itself is beautiful and has been very tastefully decorated right down to lovely little additions like the typewriter and old phone in one of the rooms - inspired by war correspondence which used to take place in the property. The garden is just beautiful and well manicured, plus the addition of the kids swing and slide was a very welcome addition too. We also loved our visits from Buddy, the woolly cocker spaniel who the kids also adored. The swimming pool and sauna are very well maintained and a day didn’t go by where we didn’t take the kids for a swim. Samuelle herself is a gracious host and nothing was an issue. Due to fuel prices going up, the baker could not deliver fresh bread anymore so Samuelle delivered it herself which we really appreciated. Fresh bread and pastries delivered to your home each morning was a great way to start the day. We were also fortunate enough to have a d-day tour with Samuelle at the American cemetery which we would highly recommend. We really couldn’t fault any aspect of our trip and we hope to return as soon as we can.

Lovely place and lovely host
We had a wonderful break at the property. Samuelle was a perfect host - she was always available and helpful and knowledgeable (We would recommend her tour of Omaha beach and the American cemetery) and very charming. The place itself is lovely with lots of character. The family (age-range 7-79) all loved it and there was plenty of space. Vouilly is very quiet but there are several pretty towns within driving distance. Thank you Samuelle, we really enjoyed ourselves

Wonderful and Welcoming
We enjoyed our stay in the Utah House on Samuelle's farm. She has beautifully restored the manse to create pleasant spaces filled with wonderful architectural and design details. And you have ducks, goats, cats and geese to complete the picture. We took advantage of the home's many conveniences including a great kitchen, dishwasher, washer, swimming pool, patio, oversized back yard and very comfortable beds. However, if you are very tall or cannot navigate stairs, the Utah House may not be the best fit for you. The location in Vouilly serves a nice home base to explore Normandy both upper and lower -- everything is within close driving distance. And the D-Day beaches are all within a 20-30 minute drive.

Exceeded our expectations
We had a charming and lovely stay at the Utah House in June. Samuelle was delightful to interact with and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We split our time between relaxing on the property and exploring the region (Bayeux, Honfleur, Mont St Michel, D-Day Landing Beaches.) It was a perfect family holiday!

Fortnight in Vouilly
Samuelle couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Property is lovely and well maintained but is spread over 4 floors so be prepared for stairs. Great location to explore the D Day sites but there is so much more to see and do. Local town of Isigny Sur Mer has all that is needed. Sam's dining recommendations were spot on.

A beautiful place to stay
What a fabulous place to stay in Normandy. The property was spacious, extremely well appointed with a very large garden for the children to play in. The pool was an added bonus and the bakery delivery made breakfast a treat every morning with freshly baked bread, croissants and some delicious apricot tarts delivered to the window ledge. Sam, the owner was very welcoming and thoughtful, with lots of helpful advice on activities and places to eat. We hired bikes from Loc Velo in Bayeux, which they delivered to the house, - would recommend the electric bikes for the hills unless you are fit! We cycled to Omaha Beach and Carantan (via the marshes) 4 hours round trip with quiet roads and we played golf at Golf Centre Manche - great 9 hole course, good value for a family and lovely course in rolling countryside

Most beautiful home and wonderful host
We spent a week in the Utah house in June and were able to take a look at the omaha mansion and the bakery lodging as well. All three are spectacular. Our family of 5 had plenty of room and the home was immaculate. The pool is beautiful and the kids loved rowing the row boat around the pond. Samuelle has done a top notch job in designing, decorating and furnishing these homes. They are rustic but refined and give you a sense of history while still having modern luxuries blended seamlessly into the homes. Having fresh bread and croissants delivered from the bakery in the morning was delightful. Samuelle and her family are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend staying in one of Samuelle's beautiful homes for your visit to Normandy.

Vacation in Normandie
We absolutely loved our stay at Le Clos de Blisse. My husband and I stayed in the Omaha Mansion and my daughter and her family stayed in the Utah House. Both houses were beautiful and the setting couldn't have been better. My grandchildren loved the fenced in backyards both with playsets. We loved the gourmet kitchens which were fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We were close to everything we wanted to see. We were within a easy day trip of Mont Saint Michel, Honfleur, Bayeux, Cherbourg and the D-Day Beaches and American Cemetery. Samuel was a wonderful hostess, she was very helpful and always there if you needed her. She also has another property that she just started renting out. The Juno Lodge is an adorable 1 bedroom house located on a private pond with the grounds. Samuelle just finished renovations of this property and we would love to go back and stay there. It's just the right size for a couple. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub or sauna but they looked like a lot of fun. She is currently building an indoor swimming pool in another one of the buildings. I can't wait to go back and stay there again. I highly recommend all three houses on this property.

Absolute Dream Home
Our family stayed at Samuelle's house for a week. It was marvellous. The house is beautiful with really high standards in all aspects - beds, bedding, kitchen, furniture, garden, spa, etc. She has spent a lot of time and money to ensure a truly French countryside experience. Besides the house, Samuelle is a terrific host - she was so helpful and was so full of enthusiasm that it was contagious. She hosted a evening of drinks with our group and the other people who stayed in another house on her property. It was a great time as we met her terrific children and got to learn about Germany from her other guests. If you are staying in Normandy, you must stay here as it a slice of real French life. The house is central to all the Normandy beaches and about 10 minutes from Isigney-Sur-Mer where you can shop and go to restaurants. Also, please remember to order your fresh bread each morning - it is delivered to your kitchen window.

All it claims to be and more
Vouilly, France...one probably wonders just where it is. Only about 25 km from Bayeux, this small village is one of the most beautiful vacation rentals one can imagine. It is worth the drive off the beaten path. Le Close Blisse-Utah House was truly a home away from home for four of us in mid-October. The owners of this property have created an exceptional rental property. This accommodation is part of a 1790 farm and all the renovations make it a one of a kind rental. The kitchen is gourmet with all the appliances to make you want to cook and seating for six easily. There are three bedrooms, one large master suite with a rain head shower on one floor. Two bedrooms on the top floor share a bathroom. One bedroom has a king-size bed, the second is large enough to have four twin beds with quite a bit of extra room. It makes a great family rental. It is only fair to mention this home is on four levels. This said we were four seniors and managed quite well. The large kitchen is entered from a large enclosed back yard complete with patio and a barbecue. There is a single toilet-sink on this level and a washer and a coat room. The second floor is just as the picture shows...a more formal dining area and an extra comfortable living room with a fireplace stocked with wood, with a wood pile nearby. There is also an a television with Apple TV. All the furnishings are antique to modern and they compliment French Country living. If you want a night spot, this is not your place. Everything about it makes you want to relax and enjoy your stay. That said it is ideally located to travel to Mont Ste Michel (about an hour and a half drive away) and a fantastic day trip not to be missed. The beaches of Normandie are maybe 9 km away. We spent two days touring all the experiences of D-Day, 6 June 1944. Historically and emotionally it is an experience not to missed or rushed. Bayeux is a great city with cobbled streets, lots of shops and dining experiences and a really picturesque river walk. Two attractions NOT to be missed are the Bayeux Cathedral and Tapisserie de Bayeux. The owners have recently completed a separate accommodation which has at least four bedrooms with an exceptionally large living space--andeven more gourmet kitchen (yes, it is possible). Next year they will have turned the old bakery into a one-bedroom guest cottage. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of their hospitality. A plus for us was they speak English.

Beautiful property in a lovely location
Le Clos de Blisse is a beautiful property in a lovely setting in the Normandy countryside. The house is stylish, very clean and very comfortable and there are pretty views from every room. Had fabulous weather all week so we were able to make full use of the sauna and hot tub. The owners were very friendly and helpful before and during our stay. Would highly recommend a stay here - we will definitely return.

Perfect hosts, attention to detail, great base for
What a wonderful place, what a wonderful welcome we had from Samuelle and Mathias. The interior has such taste and attention to detail. It is a fantastic base to explore the Normandy area, especially the D Day story. We and our friends felt very cosy and at home in our holiday home. We especially loved the comfortable and spacious beds and the daily fresh bread delivery. The boys loved the fishing and the girls loved the hot tub which Mathias very kindly kept to our desired temperatures! You will not be disappointed in booking this property and we sincerely wish this lovely family the very best for the future and hope to return one day.

Heerlijk sfeervol huis
Aanrader!
