Lovely hotel. Room basic but clean. Shower was very nice. Parking was good but itbwas a sunday night. Spent time in the bar area sunday evening service was friendly and helpful BUT one gripe is that they could not provide any non alcoholic wine cider or lager. i was stuck with fizzy drinks and soft drinks. The barman allowed me to bring a glass of my own non alcoholic wine and said it was something he would raise with his manager. Some choose not to drink alcohol othwrs like myself am undergoing medical treatment and eas looking for some of nomaity whilst on a break with my wonderful sister...a regular to your hotel.
i would not have minded even to pay an almost normal price for a glass of non alcoholicwjust would have been special tonfeel i was "having a celebratory drink"...it could prove to be quite an attraction as too many places dont cater for those of us that would like a non alcoholic wine cider or beer. This would have been a full 5stars other than this hicup. Great hotel and great staff. Until next time. Thank you
A good stop over venue. Basic room but reflected in price. Free no hassle wifi - clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Good location on outskirts of city if driving from ferries.
Corridors a bit tatty and rooms basic but a good place to stay and would come again

Overall the staff were helpful and friendly, the food is very good although beaware of the sneaky service charges.
Thre is hardly any parking, really not good enough for a hotel.
The rooms are dated and the tvs are old and failimg with the leds and the air con is non existant.
But the beds are very comfy and when all the doors stop banging and the shouting stops in the courtyard it is very quiet.
Such a good hotel with a great location. Stagg are always welcoming and freindly. The breakfast is always great. I didn't have dinner this time but have previously and thay was also really good.

Comfortable stay - but communication needs work!
Room itself was comfortable, however my stay wasn't as good as previous occasions; it was clear that the cleaner didnt check under the bed as there was food packaging from a previous guest there and the plunger to control the plug in the sink was entirely missing (so removing it was a pain without nails!)
Additionally - they have guests' contact details. I understand the practicalities of not being able to offer food when there's a large party (in this case - Huddersfield Town FC!) staying at the hotel. However, this wasn't communicated in advance, and for those without a car, it's a fair trek into town... ended up ordering from Deliveroo but not quite the restaurant experience we were looking for!
