Unlikely to stay again. Unfortunately, downtown Chanute with charming historic buildings, doesn't have the enough draw to sustain it. Many empty historically significant buildings for sale. Included in the structures for sale is The Nest. 3 years ago it showed promise, but now it seems to be quickly running down into just another direlect hotel. It is clear the owner has lost interest in it. If you like historic buildings, stay here for the night, but don't expect much outside of the lobby. No amenities and ghost service. It could thrive if the downtown could be revived but I'm doubtful.
Forget about using WiFi. It was workable my first two stays but was pathetic this time. I had to use my phone as a Hotspot to get some work done.
