Great stay in the mountains of Colorado!
We had a great time at this VRBO- it was super close to Salida and about an hour outside of Cañon City which meant we had plenty to do! The decor was beautiful and very well maintained. I’d say the only drawback was that we had some difficulty sleeping with the unfamiliar sounds of the road nearby and the heater kicking on/off. The flood lights near the entrance were required to stay on at all times and the coverings on the door were sheer so light was still let into the space. Other than that we had a wonderful stay. Very clean and inviting space with a great view of the mountains and Arkansas river!

Great location, wonderful view of the river, no internet, no cell service for Verizon.
Pros: The bed is EXTREMELY comfortable, the views are great, the access to the highway is perfect and the property exterior is very well maintained. They have a toaster oven, which is one of my favorite ways to reheat food. They provided many necessities and also allow dogs. Cons: Check-in was a little tricky as the property manager had our dates mixed up. The door code was hard to navigate, it was a phone number (not ours) and didn't always open the door. There was no microwave in the loft to warm up things that couldn't go in the toaster oven and there were no oven mitts to take food out of the toaster oven. Some of the blinds didn't close all the way and the patio light stayed on all night. The switch for the patio light was taped down with a note that said "do not touch". Unfortunately the light was extremely bright and made it difficult to sleep. The biggest problem was the extremely inconsistent water pressure. Sometimes it was so low that it was difficult to rinse our hair and other times the air in the lines caused the faucet shoot water all over us. The manager stated that a plumber had just worked on the system which caused the problem so hopefully the issue is resolved now. We came hoping my husband could work remotely during our stay but there was zero internet service and no cell service to even use the hotspot on his phone. The TV was not connected to the internet and even if it was, the wifi speed was insufficient to stream, so come with a backup plan.

Such a great experience!
We left many of the amenities unused. The inside is very functioinal for a two person get-away. The layout is well thought out and the property manager was extremely responsive to any issues during our stay. We didn't have the chance to explore any of the outdoor amenities like the gazebo, firepit and hammock. The views are wonderful. The sounds of the Akansas River in the background are very soothing and the river is an active fishing destination as was evidenced by many anglers trying their luck along its multi-mile banks during our stay. I know we'll be back.
