My family and I stayed here for an evening while passing through town. We loved the little coffee shop at the end of the driveway! The cabin is very cute and a good size. There were 5 of us plus our dogs and we had plenty of space. My only complaint was the cleanliness. On of the beds had crumbs on it and the shower could have used a little more cleaning.
Quaint hotel with on site cafe. Staff is wonderful. Lobby has beer/wine, and gift items. Large walk in shower with massive shower head. Clean room, comfy bed, easy parking in front of your room. Close in proximity to the mammoth site, downtown shops/restaurants, among other tourist destinations. Visit The Space for good bites and live music.
We enjoyed our stay. Room was great, and staff were friendly and efficient.

Stayed at this hotel in July. This hotel was comfortable enough for the amount we spent in the room. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Bed was very comfortable but pullout needs replacing. Cleanliness of room needs work. The room needed a deep cleaning from top to bottom. I cleaned the microwave myself. Noticed that there were kids cleaning the rooms so that probably accounts for some of the issue. Also the rooms could use some paint and updating. The rooms are not as nice as the pictures on the website look. With that being said the cafe and coffee business on the property was fantastic!
We stayed here one night and reserve two cabins. Property owners were friendly and gracious. The cabins themselves were very nice all wood interiors. We made use of the on-site hot tub. It was a nice end to a long day in the car. What absolutely recommend.
Brought my daughters to stay while we explored the Black Hills. We felt safe and cared for. The owners and staff were attentive and made sure our stay went well. The Cafe that is attached had delicious food and it was nice to have it close by. The area is historic and close to walk to and explore. We miss it already!!

The staff and cafe were great. We had a cabin for one night. The couch looked dirty, the doors were loud and clunky and the beds were hard. It was nice having a sitting area so the kids could play cards. It was fine for the one night we needed.
It's nice to be in the downtown. The cafe with the hotel is super convenient and the best food... no need to go elsewhere. Like others said, you feel like you're staying with family - all the staff are so kind. Nice to be able to walk by the stream. Rooms were clean and sheets and blankets were great. Loved the barn door window and bathroom door.
Conveniently located near Hill City (SD), Mount Rushmore, Needles highway, Custer Park, etc. I would return there but I wish they removed that old stained carpeting. Staff was very nice.
All I can say that it was a perfect stay. Start to finish, everyone was friendly, everything was comfortable, and I could not ask for anything more.
The bed was conducive to a great night sleep and bathroom was clean and relaxing.
Do not miss eating at the cafe for dinner and breakfast.
And don't avoid getting greeted by Duke and Myles.
