Hotel was fine but breakfast was terrible. Eggs grossly under cooked and person at egg station refused to make scrambled eggs for us … but he did for Chinese guests. Terrible feeling of being discriminated against. Great housekeeping. Great location.

Stayed here for four nights in mid-October, My HK stay was pleasure -- first visit since 1989. In looking at the plethora of hotel options, I finally decided on the Harbourview because of the view and location, and it didn't disappoint. A 7 minute walk gets you to the MTR, and 12 minutes to the Wan Chai Star Ferry pier. The view is as advertised. I had a basic harbourview room on the 7 floor and it was great. Sat with my coffee each morning watching the Star ferries ply their trade. Really excellent. The room itself is a little dated, but I liked it. Only space to put out one big suitcase. Bed firm and comfortable. Aircon excellent. Even thought it was over a small trafic circle, it was quiet -- good soundproofing windows -- and I am a light sleeper. Small bathroom -- basic. Hot water in shower was iffy. Staff were unobtrusive but excellent. Restaurant was a little pricey for me. Overall the room was a great success for me. Just loved the view. In booking, I did balk at paying the full price up front nonrefundable one month in advance, but I wanted that view and gambled, and I'm glad I did. Definitely would stay there again.

Probably not for a family as we had 3 in one room and 2 in the other with 3 beds, one I used as everyones clothes,and there is no space, there are no wardrobes, but a small hanging space, very small bar fridge, small table ( size of a side table) a small couch, for two people it's fine. We had the view of the brick wall, but there are oc3an rooms, I would say you have to request it, however the staff, ( cleaning ladies) were lovely and so nice, their is no on-site laundry, you have to pay for that, but there is a 24hr laundromat probably a 5 min walk, much cheaper to do it yourself, we did not use the restaurant so I can't give a food review, the gym is very small, no pool, the bathroom is small but ok for one person at a time, water pressure is great and we only had a shower ( no bath in our room) it's a 3 -5 min 2alk to trains, buses and the ferry, hong kong transport is absolutely amazing, so we had no problem getting around, I probably wouldn't stay again as it is to small for our family but I would recommend the hotel for couples or if you are a solo traveller.

This property is very helpful with my request seamless check in & check out. The only thing was their wasnt any Wi-Fi or bottles water offered or provided for the stay at the Hotel overall was great location & convenient walking distance to the MTR railway stations.
