PROS. Lovely grounds, peaceful, large property, nice linen, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, great view, welcoming staff. CONS. We were not notified at time of booking (which is very poor as was a part of the reason we booked there. I think we should have been offered a partial refund) a number of facilities including restaurant, sauna were out of action and during our stay we got a text to say jacuzzi also not working. Property had a high standard of furniture and fittings but a lot were a little tired and some aspects were downright grubby such as the sofas and carpets. Cleanliness of floors was not great.The "Farm Shop" which is endorsed by the hotel only had two vegetables - potatoes and onions, and no vegetarian options for frozen meals/bake goods which we needed as the restaurant was closed. The worst thing, though, was the awful cooked fish smell which hit us as we walked into the property and did not go for our whole stay. In reply to a text from reception they kindly offered an hour later check out which we did not need in the end. They offered to try and help remove the smell but I hate artificial air fresheners and by then we were eating. This stay could have been so much better. I did take some photos.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Woodford Bridge Country Club. The properties were well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We were surprised with the impressive internet speed. Having the playground and swimming pool right nearby makes this the perfect place for families with young kids.

The apartment was clean and well equipped for our stay. The buildings and decor in general do show their age. The swimming pool is great and not too busy, although the jacuzzi was not working. On-site restaurant was closed but we were out whole day and had meals before returning so did not bother us. The club is located nicely for attractions around north Devon.

Cannot recommend this property highly enough for young families staying in Cornwall / Devon. We stayed at Woodford Bridge Country Club for 2 nights in a one bedroom cottage – the children slept in the bedroom upstairs and the parents slept downstairs on the pull out sofa bed. Highlights: - Warm and friendly welcome on arrival from Lorraine. Gave plenty of information and advice on the property and the local area. - Facilities on site – heated indoor pool… and sauna! Very well maintained facility. Need to book a slot with reception desk though. - Wildlife – Amazing to see so many peacocks on the property. Our children were mesmerized to see the birds up close, they even joined us for dinner on the patio one night! - Location – Although located about 30 minutes away from the beaches, its nice setting in the country with some lovely local pubs to enjoy in the evenings as well. We stayed in a One-Bedroom cottage, which provided a great amount of space for us. - - - Fully equipped kitchen (inc dishwasher and washing machine) with cooking utensils and plates and cutlery. Spacious lounge with plenty of space for the children to play and for the adults to relax. Very clean and well-maintained property and estate – all the staff on site were very friendly. I would highly recommend this property for families looking to stay somewhere different from a chain hotel in a town centre.

House in a good condition, think you have to request for housekeeping to come over to clean and refresh. Leisure centre was ok pool was great and warm but jacuzzi not working neither was sauna. Restaurant wasn't open Friday or Saturday due to illness so was unable to try that either, they did give us a big list of alternatives nearby to try. First night good rest but other nights unfortunately we had neighbours near us being very loud and gatherings well past midnight into early hours. Didn’t really feel staff present throughout day or night

I cannot fault the staff at all here! Incredibly friendly and helpful both in reception and in the bar. Lovely large room. The decor, curtains and bathroom a little tired and dated but overall very comfy.

We have stayed at Woodford Bridge a couple of times & it never disappoints. The property was lovely & had everything we needed. The area is beautiful & we love seeing the many peacocks that roam freely through the area. We made use of the leisure facilities & went swimming. The pool was a good temperature & the changing area was nice & cleaning. We would definitely stay again.

I found the location and scenery stunning, it was a 1st time experience in this location and in Cornwall itself. All though our stay was in Holsworthy drive around was a first time experience sooo peaceful and calm such beautiful views and close to get around. Only downfall being in country side location to local amenities aren’t so close by and local gas stations or shopping stores charged double the cost of daily food products which made our trip very expensive as it would take us driving arleast 1 hour max to local Asda or convenience shopping store.

The area and property are really pretty, but the cleaning needs improving. Dirty pillows in the lounge, filter coffee sachets with no coffee machine or filters in our room, hair on the bed. I booked for 3 people but the sofa bed wasn’t made up so we had to do this when we arrived. Pool and jacuzzi is really handy with kids but the changing rooms need cleaning and the rusty bin etc could do with being updated. Lots of nice beaches around, the Rydon inn for dinner and blackberry farm for breakfast were lovely. Summerleaze beach with its sea pool was stunning.
