Enjoy a wonderful holiday in a dyer house from the 18th Century - about an hour from Munich.
The house, furnished in an extravagant French country house style, offers you holidays at the highest level. Just let your mind wander. Cook for your friends on the big table. Snuggle up by the fireplace. Barbecue evenings in the large garden. Dream on the terrace with the pool. The hammock in the old apple tree. It smells of roses and lavender. This is a beautiful home, in a picture perfect setting. It was absolutely perfect for our family
Our family was very comfortable in this home and the location on the Salzsach river could not be beat! We enjoyed the beautiful gardens as well as many hours on the patio poolside. Highly recommend this to all. The door to lock and unlock was tricky at first but got the hang of it soon.

The home & grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We loved our stay
My family of 5 stayed here for a week during the Christmas holidays and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The home is furnished nicely and the fireplace and radiators keep things cozy. The stairs can be challenging for elderly, but my 75 year old father never complained. You have beautiful views of the Burghausen Castle and the small town across the bridge has lots of charm and everything you could possible need. Upon arrival you may want to ask how to close the shutters should it become windy. Our last night was windy and the shutters made a great deal of noise...minor inconvenience. We plan to go back and stay one summer to enjoy the outdoor pool and garden!

Beautiful villa in a stunning location
Our family - myself, my husband and our 4 older teenage children visited this villa in early August. The villa was located in a charming village right on the bank of a river. The villa was very charmingly decorated with many original features throughout. The villa was very well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen and laundry room were well stocked with essential items which made us feel at home. There were many thoughtful items throughout the villa which added to our enjoyment on our holiday. The garden was lovely with many places to sit and relax in the sunshine. Our children enjoyed cooling off in the pool. The owner popped in to see us several times and was only to happy to offer suggestions for places to visit and recommend places to eat. There were lots of lovely restaurants in the local village which was only a short walk across the river. We enjoyed walking along the river bank and up to the castle in Berrhaussen. We managed to spend some time visiting Munich and Salzburg. Both are easy to reach by car in about one hour 30 minutes. We enjoyed wandering around both cities and exploring the heritage and culture. We also visited Vienna by train which is another interesting city. We very much enjoyed our trip and I would be happy to recommend this villa to any

Lovely garden and pool area overlooking the Salsach River and the view across river to the castle.
The home was beautiful in and out however getting down the steps to the property was difficult for our 88 year old father and there was no wifi in the home but we were able to get wifi in the town square and most restaurants. The adjacent town has a beautiful castle to explore and many enjoyable restaurants. There were very nice walking paths. Just wish we had bikes and a kayak. We had a wonderful stay in this gem of a place.

An amazing house in the perfect location
This house is located on the bank of the Salzach river, which is the boarder between Austria and Germany. The view, opposite the Burghausen castle, is breath taking. The house itself is a masterpiece of renovation. Fully equipped with everything you need, from bed linen and towels to kitchenware and dishes, all new and fine. The interior decoration is Provence style, with the best taste. This was a perfect vacation.
