Started out with no phone or tv remote. Had to go to front desk to get one. Then sink did not work and hair dryer almost caught fire. Not a great experience!
Had to get towels yourself if they weren’t rude about it. Never went to pool looked horrible. People were smoking stuff and smelled up the entire area. Will never stay there again.
I was shocked at how sparkling clean this hotel is! It was last minute on a holiday weekend and we got a room in the spur of the moment. Check-in was a breeze, staff very courteous and pleasant. What a value for the money. Absolutely no complaints, only satisfaction!

I appall the amazing staff at the front desk for having little to work with in a very busy holiday weekend. Apparently the hotel is short of housekeepers and the one they have is very overworked. The parking lot itself has major roadway damage and needs to b repaired. We checked in at 5 and was finally let into our room after 6. No room key was available for whatever reason. Our linens on the bed were dirty and management said they knew it and would have replaced but as of 10 pm still had not. I finally retrieved beach towels out of my vehicle and played on bed enough to get a few hours sleep. The bathroom was very clean as well as well stocked with clean linens. The air conditioning system was spot on. Would I stay here again absolutely because I know Joe worked hard and was trying his best.

Some air refresher in the room would be helpful because the room was very musky.
Was told we had fridge and microwave we arrive and pay for room and find out they didn't have either. Room was stinky and there ice machine didn't work had to hunt towels down forever.
The hotel itself was pretty good based on its price. Stayed in 214 room, plenty of parking space, clean room, quiet, pool was open.
Customer service didn’t exist. Joanna at the front desk didn’t say a word during my check in. Looked like she hates everyone. They don’t pick up the phone either when you call them. Joe was good.
They charge an additional $25 if you want to check in earlier even if the have clean rooms available. I came at 2 pm with my toddlers and had to wait as they didn’t have rooms available.
No breakfast served, just coffe at the lobby
People at the front desk were polite.
The bed skirt in my room had mold on it. There was half burned incense stick with ash on the ground when I checked in.
The tv buffered so badly, I couldn’t watch anything.
I never got a receipt for my stay. I was told I’d get one at check out. Then at check out I was told a receipt would be emailed to me. It’s been 5 days and still no receipt.
Good thing that this hotel is clean. Very bad is that they charge you additional money after checking out and never explain why. Neither they apologize or call back. 0 communication after my 3 calls and an email to them!
When we discovered that our trash bin had a big crack, we immediately informed the manager. He said "ok". After we arrived home, we saw that the hotel took $10.68 from our card, nothing on what is this for. After I reached the Red Roof by phone, they either put me on endless hold or said they didn't know. The hotel representative told me that the manager would call back. This never happened.
We stayed there 8 days. In the first room we were offered there was trash here and there and no linens at all. The manager apologized and gave us another room, this one was clean, yet without toiletries. During our stay the cleaning lady never showed up.
When we wanted to get fresh towels, we succeeded only with the third attempt. First the lady at the front desk said that "there was no towels at the laundry" . She did not apologize for the inconvenience. When we brought our towels a few hours later, there was nobody at the lobby. Only in the late afternoon we finally got lucky.
Though the hotel is described as smoke free, there were enough smokers and bad smell all over the property, in the pool area too.
There was no fridge and microwave in the room.
My recommendation is "don't stay in this in this hotel".

I asked the office to put new batteries in the safe. That did not happen. I was not aware that someone is living next door. Apparently, I was making too much noise by slamming the door. I was unaware of this, but my neighbor for the next two days brought this to my attention.
I do appreciate Mike & Joe who work at the front desk.

I booked this room after staying at the Grand Hilton Head. I went to check it out to make sure it was safe and when I got there there was pot smoking, scary activity, dirty, bugs, just disgusting! I cancelled my reservation and the girl at the front said all was good. They charged me $300 to hike I was eating dinner a few hours later. I called and the manager said he would not refund me! That is stealing.
Got bitten up multiple times by bugs while asleep had to take Benadryl because of swelling from the bug bites and the staff was very unhelpful when it came to wanting to change the bedding to help with the bugs said they’d leave it at our room since it wasn’t cleaned yet came back 6 and half hours later and it wasn’t there
