I would recommend this lovely village property. The setting is forest and pasture land and we were fortunate to dine with a mix of locals and guests. The room was roomy and comfortable. Our contact person was helpful by showing us how to operate everything. Seems like a well used and loved setting for a good meal and restful night.
Country Inn and restaurant 20 minutes drive from Hexham, but well situated for anyone doing Hadrian's Wall. The room was excellent, confortable bed and sofa. And unusually easy to get radios 3 and 4 on the TV. Supper menu was un complicated but well cooked, wine list from the respected Corney & Barrow. Wide choice for breakfast (but no kippers).
A very friendly welcome and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Stay affected by Covid-19 precautions which were well thought out and implemented. Room was comfortable and clean. Food was good, with a reasonable menu choice. Deserts marginally on the expensive side for the quantity but overall I like the Barrasford very much. Plenty of parking and not too far off the main route from Scotland south so if you want a stopover going north or south I heartily recommend the Barrasford.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, breakfast and evening meals excellent. Room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely village location approx 4 miles from Hadrian's Wall Path. Cozy bar area with dartboard. Nice beer garden. Breakfast and dinner were tasty with good selections. Staff friendly and extremely helpful with booking a taxi. Our room (Percy) was spacious and well kept with a nice view over the garden towards the castle. The only suggested improvement would be the addition of a towel rail in the bathroom.
The room was basic but clean. Short on sockets and cramped en suite although all facilities worked efficiently.
The food was superb, seriously good and so was the welcome and service
