Lovely property and rooms. Beautiful view of the lake. Easy walking to restaurants. It was a mixed bag as far as customer service. The hotel staff were lovely and able to accommodate my extra needs. However, the service at the restaurant The Oaks, that is a part of the resort, was seriously lacking. Food was fine, at best, and was on the expensive side. Cocktails, not great. They seemed understaffed for breakfast and didn't greet anyone at the door which left me and others awkwardly waiting, unsure of what to do. Overall, it was a fine stay. Seems perfect if you plan to stay with a group and utilize the nearby marina and lake. However, if you are just staying in the hotel for a night or two, or traveling alone, it seems too expensive for the experience and quality of stay.

Book direct, through a 3rd party (hotels.com) your a second class guest they want you to direct everything through who you booked through. Very short on staff it appears as well at least around the 400pm check in time. Other than that the place is nice so is the area.

The welcome at The Ridges is not what I expected. They don’t have many guests so I would expect that they would make more of an effort to make the ones they have happy. Instead, rude and unhelpful. FYI / when you make your reservation and it says “resort side,” understand that to mean, “parking lot.” I hate that they trick unknowing visitors with deceptive language. Also, there are ants 🐜 🐜 🐜 all over the room.

Not a good value
The hotel rooms desparately need refurbishment. The carpet was worn, there were stains on the wallpaper and on the upholstery. There was a damp odor and the ac couldnt remove the humidity. Overall, the halls and rooms look gloomy and dated (1980s?) A small, but irritating issue was that the paper cups didn't fit under the Keurig style coffee maker.

This is a simply hotel. Not really sure what makes it a “resort”. It has a very small, basic pool. A dock to the lake. Rooms are simple. Grounds are simple. Absolute nothing included or any amenities that i would think makes it a resort. It seems to be a time share property and people from the city with children or seniors come to enjoy a little bit of quiet or fishing. For that it serves its purpose. I only saw one or two staff members the entire time at front desk.

The lobby areas are nice with comfortable seating and great view of the lake. The rooms need to be updated. The flooring, walls, furniture are very dark and in disrepair. The darkness of the decor and the poor lighting made it very closed-in feeling. It had a very musty and moldy odor. Pictures of the rooms online are misleading. Probably won’t stay here again.
