I booked my stay with the pay later option which would have been taken care of at the property to my understanding. Check in started at 4pm. They tried to charge my card at 8 am and then agian at 1 pm. I receive a messaged telling me they were going to cancel. I called the property and explained that i keep my card locked but was curious as to why the charge was being placed now and not at arrival. The lady said it was beacuse they were fully booked and it was the only way to hold my reservation. I agreed to go ahead and pay. We arrived at 445 pm, 45 mins past check in start time. We were given the room key and went straight to the room hoping to shower before dinner. Our room door was wide open and hadnt been cleaned. We had to wait while cleaning staff rushed to clean the room (they were super apologetic and nice). Came back and turned on the air, put our things away, and went for dinner. Upon getting back the room was unfortunately super hot. The air didnt work correctly. At this point i was super aggrivated, we paid for a room with a balcony, hot tub, and moutain veiw. When in reality we got a room with a jetted tub, a street view, and an elevated deck. The air didnt work properly, they advertised a continental breakfast, which was literally just frozen waffles, yogurt, and cerial, and sent multiple notifications about check out starting at 8 am. Check out wasnt until 11. If it weren't for the fact we were only here for one night this would definitely be a one star.
