We selected this hotel based on proximity to the old town, combined with a good price in comparison to other properties.
The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and outgoing ... almost everyone had a sufficient grasp of English to help overcome our limited German.
We were in a ground floor room (11) that had plenty of space and an adequately-sized bathroom with shower. Only challenge was temperature, since both days of our stay it was sunny with temps of around 28-29C (82-84F). The hotel had a fan in our room which was a Godsend, since our room faced the street ... we kept the windows open as much as possible, but the road noise at night woke us up the first night. That problem was solved with ear plugs we'd saved from the flight over.
We had breakfast included in our rate, and the meal was very German, very fresh and very filling. The staff also offered to cook us scrambled eggs each morning, since we're not fans of the hard-boiled variety.
Though I had brought an electrical converter and multiple European to US adapter plugs, I forget my European adapter. My wife needed to curl her hair and we couldn't plug the converter in, but as soon as we asked at the front desk they were happy to let us borrow one of theirs.
Overall we liked the property and loved the people. The road noise was a challenge (but easy to overcome), and between the open windows and fan we were able to deal with the heat. And the location is a definite plus if you want quick access to the alt stadt ...
