A wonderful place with a nice village life environment. There is a ton of greenery around the place, with its own unique charm. The staff are extremely courteous, helpful and friendly and go out of their way to look after you. The food choices are commendable and they do make an effort to offer some local favourites, which depending on one’s taste buds, would either go down well or not at all; we fell into the former category! Overall, a good place to stay, and a little on the pricey side compared to other lodging options. Highly recommended.
I stayed in a suite which was great. But there was no place to sit and enjoy the landscape and the entire property. You are confined to your own room. But I enjoyed the room. The restaurant service was exceptional slow and I was served a simple dinner like sambhar rice almost 40-45min after ordering. Breakfast buffet was good and enjoyable
Our stay at the Hoysala Village Resort was a good experience. Service was friendly and efficient. Rooms big and comfortable. Decor very ethnic. Lots of greenery.
Stay was excellent!! Luxury at its best. True to it's name everything was perfect.. only concern was When your esteemed guests are unwell and request for a medicines, you couldn't arrange.. and have no remorse in saying that request can't be fulfilled..
Other than that everything was picture perfect..
Staff was courteous and really had a great time on my anniversary..
Lovely, nicely decorated hotel.
The rooms are in small buildings. Rooms are big, beds are comfortable, bathrooms adequately updated.
Greenery separates and surrounds the buildings.
Attentive and professional staff.
No wifi in the rooms, slow wifi in the lobby area.
No restaurants in easy walking distance.
The stay was very nice and had a good time with family.
It is in good location, full of greenery good place to stay and relax.
Each and every staff, including security & housekeeping i felt every one were so co operate and the way they treat the guests i was really impressed.
I have one negative feedback - door locks needs to be replaced with the new one or it should be well maintained.
also felt, pool can have temperature setting
The staff made the stay the most memorable. The resort is quite nice with comfortable rooms and amenities. The food is very good with a wide variety that will cater to all kinds of tastes. The resort is located quite close to the centuries-old temples and a church which are a must-see.
We stayed in the Jacuzzi Villa room, which was at the edge of the property. Although it's not exactly a Villa, just a a large apartment with a huge bedroom, living room, and a truly gingantic bathroom with a Jacuzzi in it, it did give decent privacy from the rest of the property. The property itself is smaller in terms of area than I had imagined and did not have much open space. But every inch of it was well utilized in terms of greenery, and we could smell the fragrant plants when walking around in the night which gave a very pleasant feeling.
The rooms were well appointed with classic wooden furniture and were extremely clean and nice smelling. The bathroom was a true luxury. We had all meals in our package and liked both the dinner and breakfast (skipped lunch, due to the heavy eating in the former two). Their buffet spread had a mix of local preparations with standard continental and north Indian items, leaving nothing to be desired. We didn't use the swimming or spa facilities. The pool was a little small, but cute. Most guests use this as a luxurious retreat from seeing the historical and spiritual sites nearby, which it serves perfectly.
We stayed at Hoysala Village Resort for family vacation during Oct 2017. We had opted for palace suite room which is very spacious and suitable for family, extra bed was provided. The resort has lush green surroundings with variety of trees. There is open play area / lawn for badminton / football / cricket along with high tea counter. There was good variety of items during breakfast / lunch / dinner buffet. The food was tasty and fresh, do try out their live counters. They arranged for classical / contemporary dance / music performance in the evening. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I would definitely recommend this resort for family travelers.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Not quite sure why this is called an eco lodge!
This was a 'souless' place lacking care and attention. The staff in reception could be more professional and well mannered. The buffet food was unappetising and cold, served on cold plates. My husband suffered food poisoning and I did to a lesser extent. This ruined a whole day of our holiday. We would not recommend anyone to stay here at this so called 'luxury' lodge.
When you enter the room, you are greeted with an overwhelming smell of lemongrass. Later you realise that this is an attempt to suppress the stink in the bathroom. The bathroom smells of bad drains and the flush does not work properly. Complaining only results in a guy coming in and spraying the bathroom with some lemongrass concoction which only makes the situation worse. I expect something much better maintained for the price they charge. Wouldn't stay there again.
& don't get much better!
No Expedia booking at hotel but even when I produced vchr manager insisted on keeping us waiting in reception while he contacted Expedia
My disabled wife was v tired after long journey but not allowed to go to room
Room drab, carpets & step into bathroom dangerous
Staff in restaurant v friendly , food not great. Avoid buffet
To be fair it was guests who were really awful. School party took over pool 1 st day, no respect for other guests. Next day screaming child & indulgent parents. Too many people don't know how to behave
Great experience overall, except that we felt the price was exorbitant for the stay. Adding food to your bill is just too expensive. They do serve very good tasting, simple recipes based food...which also includes local, seasonal delicacies.
I have to mention one more time about the personnel here. They are one of the nicest people that we have seen in Indian hotels and resorts. Keep up the great smiles and friendly attitude!!!
We stayed for a night in July. Extremely well maintained. The plants and trees in the hotel make it like a botanical garden. Rooms were very clean and staff was attentive and prompt. Had the dinner and breakfast buffets which were quite good. Overall if we had time, we would have stayed for another night. Would visit again.
we went on a casual holiday and we loved the resort. It's also in a good locality with Belur and Halibeedu quite close. Even chikmanglur is not too far from the location. Overall a good stay
Lovely hotel with great food and very helpful staff. Spacious and pretty bedrooms, and nice little pool to refresh in after trips to temples at nearby Belur and Halebid (which they arranged for us).
The resort is modern and well laid out. You can enjoy massage and other treats with very short notice. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Bed was lovely and comfortable.
We chose the resort to be near Halebedu and Belur temples as well as the most amazing monolithic statue of Gomateshwara. I returned to this statue after 42 years, and it is one of the most imposing places on earth. No wonder the Indians suggest it to be included in the seven wonders of the world.
This resort is perfect for visiting the area from.

Nice location in HOYSALA..
There was not enough lighting in the room. Especially no light at the dressing table. The furniture were all broken and worn out. The employees were very courteous and friendly. That is the only best part of the stay. Landscaping around the room was very good.
