Harrison Hideaway, near CDA Walk to Trails & Lake!
The Harrison Hideaway:
SUP boards and bikes for your use! Sleeps 13! You'll love this incredible cabin walking distance to the marina, One Shot Charlies, and the world famous Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes! A spectacular vacation in any season, the Harrison Hideaway is perfect for your whole family, friends traveling together, or a grand romantic getaway. The front porch is a great place to relax and unwind. Inside you'll find two living spaces, a workspace, a full kitchen, and a dining area. The bathroom is also on the main floor. Upstairs are four spacious bedrooms, each with their own AC unit. One bedroom has a triple bunk bed and is the perfect slumber party spot for the kids! We love watching deer and wild turkey stroll through the yard! Walk or use the provided bikes to get to town, eat delicious food, and go SUP paddle boarding (boards are provided!!) We could spend our whole vacation in Harrison, but taking the 40-minute drive to the heart of Coeur D'Alene is obviously a must!
The Space:
The quintessential Coeur d'Alene lake house, this home is large enough to fit a big family or a group of friends traveling together. The lake house features four bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom is located on the main floor with the living spaces and kitchen. Upstairs, four spacious bedrooms with beautiful mountain views each have comfy beds, fresh linens, and Wifi. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining area and living spaces are the perfect place to hang out and chat while you cook all your meals. The front porch is great to relax and unwind.
We love watching deer and wild turkey stroll through the neighborhood, right from the living room window! Three of the bedrooms have Queen size beds. The last bedroom has a triple bunk bed and an air mattress. The sofa in the living room pulls out into a bed.
Things to note:
The main street is plowed during the winter, but the driveway is not. If you're traveling in the winter, make sure to have tire chains and 4WD, and check the road conditions before traveling.
There is only one general store with limited groceries in Harrison. We suggest stopping in Coeur D'Alene to stock up on groceries if you're going to cook while you're here. There's a Costco, Safeway, and Target all right off the 95.
There is a steep hill on the way to the cabin from the marina and main strip downtown, so walking to and from the lake may be difficult for small children and elderly people. Instead, there is plenty of parking if you wanted to drive just 1-2 minutes instead.
There is another vacation rental on the property- "The Bunk House", near the back right of the cabin. It shares a driveway. If you'd like to book both this vacation rental and the bunk house, let us know!
Guest access:
Guests have access to the entire cabin and yard, free Wifi, fresh linens, and fully equipped kitchen. Guests are able to use the provided stand up paddle boards, bikes, and other fun amenities!
The Neighborhood:
Harrison is nestled at the mouth of the Coeur d'Alene River at the southern end of Lake Coeur d'Alene. It offers a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains. Visitors may arrive by boat, car, motorcycle, or bicycle. Running through town is the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene’s, a 72-mile trail paved from Mullan to Plummer. Kootenai County docks are open and you can leave your boat docked for up to 72 hours in the local Marina. Near the water, there's a beautiful city park with a gazebo, barbecue/kitchen area, and a children's playground.
