Luxury Cabin nestled in Cherokee National forest steps away from the AT!

Your basecamp for adventure! Steps away from the Appalachian Trail, this refuge is bordered by Cherokee National Forest and Laurel Fork Creek. On property activities include fishing, creek playing/swimming, hiking, stargazing (no light pollution here) and of course, ping pong. With a picnic and hammock area by the creek, outdoor pavilion with fireplace for al-fresco dining and s’mores, plenty of board games and limited WiFi Internet.

*Please note we do not allow any weddings or events at this home!*

This cozy cottage is big on outdoors but can still sleep up to 3 families. The house is best described as a modern dogtrot. The main part of the home contains the living/kitchen/dining area, master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom, lofted bunk room, full guest bath and laundry closet. This part of the house is connected to the secondary part of the home via the “dogtrot” or screened-in porch (complete with ping pong table). The secondary part of the home includes 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds, which share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The property also boasts an immaculate timber frame pavilion complete with a massive wood-burning fireplace. Laurel Fork Creek borders the front edge of the parcel and is every kid’s favorite place to splash an afternoon away. Additionally, there are only 5 houses on this dead-end street with only one of those being lived in full-time so there is virtually no traffic.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cottage, which features a fireplace. There's a private balcony or patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.
Guests will find features like onsite parking.

Perfect Private Getaway
We loved our own little private getway from the busy world. Everything was perfect: creek size, daily turkey vistors, apple trees full of apples, beautiful lodging. Can't wait to return!

Luxury base camp
Me and some friends stayed at the cabin for a couple of days on a fishing trip and were very pleased. I am used to short-term rentals looking great in photographs and then turning out to be poorly maintained dumps. This one was quite the opposite. It was clean, well provisioned, and in every way. We will stay here again! One note: the toilet paper could use a serious upgrade.

Engagement and Birthday weekend
It was my daughter in law (to be) birthday on Dec 11, and our son chose that evening to propose to her, so, needless to say, it was an incredible weekend to celebrate. The house was beautiful, and fit the bill, we really enjoyed to outdoor fireplace and pavilion. Thank you so much for a memorable get away.

Beautiful home.
This place is totally unplugged which was nice. Internet would have been great. Lol. House was amazing. Clean. Comfy. Love the creek infront of house. Love the outside area. Fully stocked house. The only negative is there is a huge bee wasp hornet bees problem. Lots of wasp nest in porch and fireplace area. Lots and lots nest buried in grass everywhere. The wasp issues is bad.

great escape to nature
The property is situated beautifully with a creek to play in, very close proximity to the AT and an a lovely outside pavilion for eating meals outside. The beds are very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The kids sleeping area is up a long ladder and it's open to the noise of the kitchen/living area so have you have to go outside or be very quiet. Overall it was one of our favorites!

We loved our visit to this property. It was perfect for our family!
This was a beautiful place! Our family and my parents stayed for a long weekend to attend my oldest daughters pinning ceremony and graduation at East Tennessee State University. There was plenty of beds, lovely kitchen and living room and our favorite was the outdoor fireplace area. Everything we needed was there. We had evening fires, played games, cooked s’mores and just enjoyed visiting. The only thing that would have been nicer was if the grass had been cut before we arrived. We played a game of softball in the big open yard, which was loads of fun! It’s a great place we would loved to visit again.

Best Family Holiday Destination!
Our family celebrated Easter at this beautiful cabin and loved every moment of it! If you’re interested in replacing the iPhone, WiFi and TV’s for laughter, conversation, nature, relaxation, privacy, making memories then don’t hesitate to book this beautiful oasis. The cabin layout was ideal for our children and grandchildren. Our grands range from 5 to 12 years old and enjoyed climbing up the ladder to their sweet bunking quarters and had no issue navigating it. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dining ware. Food City is only 15-20 minutes away for your grocery needs. The grounds are breathtaking - perfect for kickball, wiffle ball, lounging in hammocks, fishing in the creek, Easter egg hunts and s’mores making. Try to arrive in daylight as the road leading to the cabin is a bit narrow and winding. We were sad to leave and hope to return again.

Perfect all the way around.
We planned and looked forward to this trip for months. We had a group of 10 adults that had the best time. We went in January, so it was pretty cold. And when they mean no service, it’s no service. I have sprint and I got enough bars to make a call out if you walk towards the road from the house. The drive up is a very very windy mountain. It gets foggy at night, so make sure you’ve got good lights on your car. When we went, the mountains were covered in snow and it was breathe taking. They have a self serve coffee bar (complete with beans), a good amount of kitchen gadgets, plates and all the dishes, and some essentials like salt and pepper. Plenty of bedding and towels were stored in the closets. The house stayed really warm at night, and overall it was the perfect place for us to stay. We look forward to booking it again!

We had the most amazing time with friends and family. We didn’t realize all of the bunks were up a ladder. But there was so much room for everyone. We got married under the cover area and it made for an amazing wedding. It was everything we could have dreamed of.

Excellent Stay
One of the best experiences we have had with a VRBO property. Easy check-in, great communication, amazing house and grounds. For full disclosure, there is no internet and no cellphone signal, but that made the property even more appealing to us (we had lots of teen and pre-teen boys that were forced to disconnect). Great weekend.

AWESOME FAMILY VACATION
Our family is scattered across the country and our annual get-togethers are super important to us! We disconnected from the rest of the world (I.e., no Wi-Fi, no TV and no cell service at the house) but lots and lots of talking, relaxing, hiking, game playing, playing in the creek, fishing, and of course, eating! Of course there were many short trips to the top of the mountain to check phones, etc., and not just for the teenagers! The location is beautiful and private and the house is awesome! It met our needs and so much more. We will be back for sure!

Family adventure!
We had an excellent time at this BEAUTIFUL rental location. The owner and the property manager were very responsive and answered any questions and responded to any needs we had. The rooms were all beautifully and simply decorated with plenty of blankets and pillows. I would say, for our family, the loft was not great for the kids but it was not a problem and we had plenty of space for them to sleep elsewhere! The creek was a hit for the kids in our family, ages 2-5, and I would recommend bringing water shoes as it is very rocky in most places, we also made our kids wear life jackets that we brought. The hike was beautiful and a great challenge for our family with 5 little children! The house was superb, with little things here and there that showed the owner's obvious desire to make his guest's stay comfortable. The showers had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in a nice dispenser, there was a pack 'n play, a highchair, nice hand soap, a nice coffee bar, TONS of games, great music to listen to, etc. I would certainly stay here again!

2020 Graduation
Absolutely the most beautiful place we could have picked for our last childs graduation! The photos do not even come close to how beautiful this property is! There were all kinds of extra amenities like fire wood, marshmallow toaster sticks, waffle maker, coffee bar of a coffee lovers dreams, bug spray, sun screen, games, and much more. This was a technology free place, unexpected but a blessing for our family to reconnect. ♡♡♡ The beds were super comfortable as are the couches. The only thing that caught us off guard was the access to the upstairs to the loft and bunk beds. It's just a ladder and we had 5 toddlers to get up and down but we managed and the kids loved it!! The outdoors was so peaceful and relaxing. The kids played in the creek and tried to fish, played baseball and kick ball, ran and screamed and laughed they didn't want to leave and neither did the adults!!! We will return again♡♡♡♡
