We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the hotel buffet breakfast (great if you want to build your own seafood rice bowl) and the Japanese style breakfast that was offered. The roomโ€™s AC was cold and we also tried out the public onsen. After the onsen, you can enjoy a free popsicle, which was a nice touch. The hotel is ~10 minute walk to the JR station. The only downside we noticed is the bathroom in the hotel room kept smelling like sewage and was not very pleasant.

We really enjoyed the hotel. Breakfast in both the regular buffet and Japanese meal were awesome, but the wait for the buffet was long. The hotel was in a great location for all sightseeing in the area. It would be nice to have recycling boxes in the rooms to collect paper and bottles.

The check-in staff were rude and did not provide adequate advice. Some of the towels were old and had lipstick marks. There was no bellboy.

Good functional hotel near Hakodate old warehouses district. Rooms small though you had all you needed. Great staff. Need some Japanese.

a fly in the ointment

This hotel is large and has everything you need in a great location. However, the only downside was that the body wash in the room became watery for some reason on the second day. Although I replaced it with a new one after talking to the front desk, it was still disappointing. Other than that, the hotel's breakfast and hot spring facilities were excellent.
