The check-in was super uncomplicated and Maria provided a very thorough explanation of the property. She was contactable by phone at all times. The location of the property is great, the property itself is a great old house with plenty of space and some nice extras (i.e. Tennis court and Hot Tub, both in good condition). Cleanliness, however, was disappointing at best. Fridge, kitchen drawers, oven etc had obviously not been cleaned for a while. All sinks and bathrooms were quite grim, bed sheets same. There was a lot of clutter in some areas like the conservatory with the seating area squished next to the clutter. The house itself is such a great location that it was quite disappointing to find it in such a state, especially considering how much money was charged for the stay. We spent a few hours cleaning first before we could really enjoy the stay. We did definitely not expect this when booking the stay. If general cleanliness and tidiness was addressed, however, it would be a great place to stay and spend a few relaxed days.

Fabulous house but some major issues
This is a truly lovely house on fabulous grounds. Maria was a very pleasant and helpful host. We did however have major issues with the oven which was not satisfactory. We were a party of 8 adults and 2 children and not having use of a working oven was disastrous. There was also a wasps nest in the side of the house with access into the property and so one room in particular was unusable (the main living room) and we spent a good deal of time trying to usher wasps outside from bedrooms (2 of us were stung). Whilst these issues were very very disappointing, I would not be discouraged from visiting again (so long as the issues were addressed because until they are, it is not rentable!!)

A very pleasent location that matched requirements perfectly. Bedrooms were spacious and well equipe
The property has everything for a very relaxing break. It's close enough for anything most people will want to enjoy. Plus it's location is very secluded and privacy is assured. I would recommend it to anyone.
