This is my honest review. Its a beautiful hotel. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. Check-in was quick. I was surprisingly charged an additional $83. I suppose this was to cover any fees that i accumulated during my stay. There is a charge for parking on the property. This seems to be a common trend among hotels to lower the visual cost of the stay to make the price seem more competitive, but in the end, this is a tactic to recoup the loses of staying competitive. For the parking fee, they should atleast have onsite security patrolling the parking areas. The breakfast is no longer free. Its $14 per person. Perhaps this was also another tactic to recoup the loses of staying competitive. Check-out was a little slow. I left at 10pm to avoid the traffic on my 8-hour journey home. The clerk said, while i was free to leave, i couldn't be electronically checked out untill 2am.
The lights in the pool was turned off early. In my previous visits, the lights stayed on all night. I had went down to get some photographs of the colorful pool for my travel book that i am publishing but i was disappointed that it was dark.
Unfortunately, i cannot recommend this hotel. Next time i visit Orange Beach i will be staying at a different hotel.
