my poor husband went to TOMO for a night stay because he had to travel next morning to New York. It was my idea as a wife for him to travel from Cuenca a day before his trip so he will rest for the night and travel next day again I booked Tomo based on the positive reviews so I said let me give it a try ( I usually book the hotel El Palace which is excellent) but this time I said let me book a different hotel. Oh well it turn out a nightmare...when my husband arrived at Tomo the cab driver told him to be very careful walking in the area because of pickpockets that area was not safe at all!!!... when my husband checked in he was shocked to hear that he will be sharing his room with 3 other strangers NO PRIVACY he was furious.(the room was very small there was NO TV, a very tiny air conditioning and it was hot very hot in the room, also my husband requested some food service for dinner they DON'T HAVE IT) Please don't waist your money and time because you will regret it...Oh I almost forgot to mention at the desk they took twenty dollars deposit on top of what he had already paid ...they told him he will have it back at checkout...my husband TOLD them he will be checking out at (6am) next morning they told him don't worry we will be here before you leave...guess what?? NOBODY never showed up he waited until 6:45am my husband left he was afraid of missing his flight. DON'T GO TO TOMO NOT WORTH IT.
Excellent location, very comfortable and large private room but they are unnecessarily strict about the 3 pm check in time, making us wait in the lobby until 3 even though the room was ready and empty.
