Back to Moosehead Lake
This is a beautiful cabin on Moosehead Lake. One of the nicest spots we have stayed at over the past 20 years in this region.

I had nothing to do with the property manager; it was all on line as you very well know. No communication, review incomplete. I suspect the owners of VRBO are Deep State.

Relaxing weekend
This was a great place. Many little details make it special. Agree with others on possibly adding some more comfortable outside seating and a ladder in the dock or better area for kayak launch. Loved it! Will get back!

Very nice place
Beautiful little cabin, very nice place with great views. Enjoyed, swimming, fishing, using the grill and fire pit. The dock really needs a ladder to get in and out of the water and would be nice if the back door had a screen so the door could be left open. The place is about 20 mins on a dirt road off the main road but this is pretty common for moosehead lake. Most waterfront residences require a 10+ mintue drive down a dirt road. Good idea to bring a cooler to supplement fridge/ freezer space. Very secluded and quite though there is another cabin next door but there's some separation between with trees. Might be a good idea for the management to remind guests to stay in there own areas as for part of our stay we had a family staying next to us who for some reason were spending a lot of time swimming and kayaking right in front of our dock instead of their own lol. That was a kind of odd and a bit annoying as we visit a place like this seeking seclusion but luckily they were only there a for a couple days of our week stay. Overall very nice place and would visit again.

Fisherman’s Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at this log cabin, so much we didn’t want to leave. It’s right on Moosehead, with a dock and kayaks for use. Sitting on the porch in the comfy Adirondack chairs with coffee in the morning was just perfection. The bed was probably the most comfortable of any vrbo we have stayed at! We cooked over the fire pit and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We hope to come back soon😍

Nice, remote cabin. Beautiful setting on Moosehead Lake. Our main complaint is that the bed was a box spring and 2" memory foam. Not comfortable and cost 1.5 stars. Would be great to have starter coffee, but we were warned.

Really nice quiet getaway - hot water is an issue
Beautiful little cabin in a lovely secluded location. Clean, comfortable, extremely quiet. The only issue we found is - the hot water heater is horribly undersized. Any more than one 10-min shower and you’ll be taking a COLD shower! Lovely retreat for a couple, but a shower together? Out of the question! My wife and I took AM/PM shifts on the 2nd day after it took my breath away on day 1.

Winter renters beware
It would’ve been nice to know the snowmobile policy prior to booking. Instead I found out on the day of check in while we were already on our way there. The rules stated no pets/no smoking. no snowmobiles should be added to that so people can plan accordingly. I understand the renters would probably lose a substantial amount of winter bookings but it’s not right to blind side people with a “ No snowmobiles allowed on property” the day of check in. Also, the shower gets cold within 2 minutes of turning it on.

Fisherman's Cabin on Moosehead Lake is a small gem
My husband and I spent the weekend of his 75th birthday at Fisherman's Cabin. He had never been to the Greenville area and it had been decades since I had been. It was a real treat to have unseasonably warm weather. Typical of the time of year, the town was essentially closed down for the season. Fortunately I anticipated the need to bring our own food and drink and I thoroughly enjoyed "playing house" in such a clean and cozy cabin on the water's edge. Everything about the cabin was appealing, most especially the view! We visited Rockwood, Jackman, and Moxie Falls on Saturday then enjoyed returning to the cabin at day's end to light a fire in the wood burning stove, enjoy a cocktail, a good dinner, and a game of Scrabble. Check-in and check-out were very easy. You will need explicit directions to the cabin and Vacasa provided them. The only disappointment was not seeing a moose!

Awesome little getaway spot!
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway to relax and do some icefishing. This cabin was the perfect size for just the 2 of us and the views are awesome especially from down on the lake. I had assumed that firewood was provided since it does have a small woodstove however it is not so be prepared to bring your own wood and kindling because it really is a nice little fireplace and adds to the cabin feel. My only recommendations (just my personal opinion) would be to get rid of the bear rug and put the tv on that wall, ditch the 3 armchairs and add a small couch so you can snuggle up with your partner and add more hooks in the hallway to hang your outdoor gear. Like I said this is just my opinion and overall it really is a beautiful little spot to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax. We'll definitely be back!!

Private and Peaceful, remote and great view
The cabin is small but carefully thought out as to what to include. So we had everything we needed. There is a small refrigerator and a separate small freezer. Both were adequate, as we had plenty of room for our 5 day stay. It was clean and tastefully decorated. Good to know there was a standby generator. There is no dishwasher, so if you are not up to doing dishes, you may want to bring paper plates and cups. A combination washer/dryer which we did not use. There is ample lighting. Two heat sources. You may want to bring a hatchet or small saw for the wood stove. You may also want to pick up your wood prior to getting to the cabin, as it is a very long road to it. There are plenty of places just on the side of the road selling wood but the grocery store does as well but charge 7.00 a bundle. Also would recommend getting your supplies/food ahead of time. There was a portable firepit outdoors. It feels very private even though the other 2 cabins are closeby. There is a good distance and it is separated by trees. The drive in took us 22 minutes from the main road. It is all dirt with a maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour. The only downfall for us, was we did not sleep very well for the entire 5 nights. The mattress was firm which normally we would like but it seemed uncomfortable, as I kept tossing and turning to get comfortable. I have to agree with one of the reviews where they mentioned it would have been nice to have a recliner, as it may have helped if I could have gone in the other room and sleep on a recliner. As far as moosing, head left up north out of Burnt Jacket. Also, we saw moose in the town of Rockwood and the road to Jackman is a good one for possible moose sightings. Shirley has a viewing area at the d.o.t. where there is a small section where there has been moose muck. Overall, nice cabin for one or would make for a nice romantic cabin experience.

Great getaway!!
I live on the Maine coast and due to CoVid was unable to take my usual Feb trip to AZ. So decided to stay close to home. Three hours later I was totally away!! Awesome. Lights on, heat up!! Thank you! Traveling alone I always have trepidation- none here- felt like home immediately. As my business is people and service- my vacation time is quiet and relaxing. The cabin provided all that. It appeared new so I know it is well cared for- glossy wood floors, clean empty cabinets, Fresh folded towels, etc. (I’m a pretty good judge of that as my business is property management of Summer estates. ) My days were filled with reading, painting, snowshoeing, etc. I did bring firewood so I kept the woodstove going though for ambience less for heat. I arrived on Thurs afternoon and didn’t leave the property again til Sun AM- why leave when I was soo content! And that was for Super Bowl snacks!!! Your closest neighbor ( cabin) is out of sight. The only people I saw were two workers that shoveled one morning. Very nice. All staff associated with this property were awesome!! I will return. Thank you.

Wonderful place
Our stay at the Fisherman’s cabin was amazing. I’ve never stayed at such a clean and cozy property. We had some snow, but the roads were very manageable still. We used the wood burning stove each evening (brought our own firewood from home). It is a small stove so it was good my husband brought the ax. Even if you don’t use the stove, you will be nice and cozy because the heat is very efficient and the cabin is not drafty at all. The last night of our stay it was snowing and very windy. We lost power but this property has a generator with an automatic transfer switch so we had power again in less than a minute- which was very good because I had brownies baking in the oven. Some people had written that they have difficulty understanding how to use the oven- it is not hard to figure out at all. I loved the style of it! The bed is amazingly comfy; mattress is extra firm and we slept great. Perfect place for a nice relaxing getaway. All the locals are friendly and we enjoyed cross country skiing, shopping, dining and snowmobiling.
