Pillows were horrible and very uncomfortable. Breakfast eggs and other hot foods tasted horrible. Glad to have waffles and peanut butter to get by. I accidentally poured water on flooring in entryway of room. The towel I used to mop the water up was dirty after use. Not sure when floor was cleaned last.

Bit pricey but good hotel
Nice hotel. Room was clean and staff was friendly. We only stayed one night so didn’t utilize housekeeping. We did enjoy the pool and hot tub which are both outside and nice. Was a bit pricey compared to what we normally pay for a one night stay in areas like Denver.

The Jacuzzi jets did not work, nor did they work when we were there three years ago. The pool area needs a lot of TLC. The eggs at breakfast do not seem like real eggs, despite the card saying they are.

Checked in and noted a chirping noise going off that sounded like low batteries in a smoke detector. It was not the smoke detector in our room. The microwave had some sort of error code so thought it may be that. Unplugged the microwave (which was dusty) and the noise persisted. Still heard chirping so called the front desk who indicated they heard it too so must be in the hall. They also noted it they had also heard it the night before?! They planned to investigate and by this time it was late and the single front desk person was busy. The chirp persisted for some time so eventually my husband went into the hallway and found it was the smoke detector in the hallway making the noise. He spoke with the person at the front desk again to let them know. The staff planned to remove the smoke detector but couldn't find a ladder. Eventually they brought a chair and my husband held the chair while the staff member removed the device. These things happen but it is surprising that the front desk staff are left on their own to deal with it. Removing the device was likely not a great idea but there were several in the hallway. All of this could be overlooked but the hotel also looked tired and, our room was not very clean. Unlikely to book a la Quinta in the future.
