Comfortable, well-organized cottage in a beautiful area
Around 2006, the owners, Jacqueline and Daniel, decided to turn an old stone house near their own place into a Gite. The work was done with a lot of care. The main area has a master bedroom and bath. For families with children, the attic space has an additional 3 beds and a half-bath. Off the kitchen-dining area is a large enclosed garden with table and chairs for outdoor eating. The kitchen is fully equipped and for our visit had some useful staples, like salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc. It should be noted that bed linens and bath towels are not provided. They can be rented locally or, for about the same price, purchased. Also there is no wi-fi in the house or the area. The heating is silent electric and excellent. There is also a wood-burning stove. The property is 4 Km south of Gramat, which has excellent shops. We particularly liked "8 a Huit" on the main square, for fresh produce and cheese. The house has a binder with points of interest and maps of walks as well as a complete list of local services and instructions for the various appliances. These owners have given a lot of thought to the needs of their guests.
