We had a short break of three nights in April ‘22. The place is lovely, the staff friendly and welcoming. We arrived late at night as our flight got in at 10pm, they were very helpful and stayed up to let us into our room.
They don’t speak any English, but we always found a way to make ourselves understood.
The room was a good size, with a view across the Bay of Naples and of Vesuvius. You had to put your head out of the window to see it all, but it was there.
The room was clean, and cleaned daily. It’s not a 4* hotel, and the furnishings are older and basic. But it had everything we needed.
Breakfast was good with fresh juice, warm croissants and tea/coffee.
The road up to Casa Scola is very Italian! A winding, narrow, cobbled road with some tight hairpin bends. Made a little more challenging by the occasional Fiat Panda parked in a tight spot! But if you drive with care (and it helps if your car has lots of parking sensors!) it is doable. The view from the top is definitely worth it.
