I was given a room on the 2nd floor right at the back of the building because I can see roofs from adjoining buildings. There were pigeon poohs on the window, the room may not have been used regularly.
There were 4 jiggers of milk to make a cuppa. I thought you get water and juice in the fridge but there were none.
I opened the window, it didn't stay up, it dropped down, which scrapped the skin on my knuckle causing it to bleed. I reported this to the receptionist, she promised to send some to check on it and get it fixed and she will check it herself, I am not sure if this was followed through. She didn't seem too bothered, luckily I had some plasters on me.
I didn't have a good night sleep as the mattress was hard and the pillows were too puffed up, I prefer them flat ish as it hurts my neck. I end up sleeping with no pillows. I know this is no one's fault but the pigeons made so much noise around 4-5 in the morning, I couldn't get to sleep properly.
Pictures on the website showed some modern rooms, but I definitely didn't get one of them. The location was very convenient and central which is the reason why I booked it as I had to attend a school reunion.
I don't think I would use this hotel again.
