My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Ibis Gent Centrum St. Baafs Kathedraal hotel from Sep 6 to Sep 12 and would like to sincerely thank the entire team for their exceptional service. The hotel is spotless, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job — the room was cleaned thoroughly every day,  towels were changed regularly.The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The location is absolutely perfect: right in the heart of the historic center, within walking distance of many major landmarks and attractions. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. There was a fantastic selection of both hot and cold options, as well as a wide variety of fresh pastries and baked goods. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the outstanding service and the incredible staff. We are especially grateful for the way the team responded during a very difficult moment. My husband had a cardiac episode during our stay, and the staff (lovely Juultje and Jana) reacted with professionalism and care. They quickly asked all the necessary questions and called an ambulance without hesitation. Their calm support and willingness to help meant the world to us. It was an overwhelming situation, but their presence was a source of real comfort. Thank you again to the entire team — your kindness and empathy made a huge difference and will never be forgotten. We would definitely stay again at this hotel and recommend it to everyone staying in historical center of Gent.

Location was very prime. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Good AC. As a tourist, access to public transportation was not really needed due to the prime location but access to public transportation was not bad either (5 mins from a light rail train station)

The room is lack of basic supplies. No coffee maker, no kettle, even no cups/galsses to drink water. And there is no vanity supplies besides shampoo and shower gel. It is over price for what is offered to customers.

Excellent position, be difficult to navigate to the car park and the parking spaces are very tight. I would park somewhere else if you have a large car! The hotel was the best Ibis we have started in. Excellent breakfast, position and staff.

Easter weekend stay

Great location, although staying over the Easter weekend meant the bells of the cathedral next door ringing well into the night and continuing after midnight on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, although this is no fault of the hotel. Staff were generally really friendly, only one was a little blunt. Provide you with a really helpful map and guide to Ghent on arrival which was very useful. Close to tram links and nice bar that’s open every night with a variety of drinks. Breakfast was really good. Lots of variety and options for everyone. Checked in online which was supposed to speed the process although still was a little slow. Overall really happy with the hotel and stay, only picking faults with comments above. Would definitely recommend it.
