Hotel can be a little hard to find, but just go to Piazza de San Lorenzo, stand in front of the Cathedral and look just to your right across plaza and you will see sign at ground level over in the corner. Ring buzzer next to sign.
Very old building in good shape, you have to take elevator to the next floor up to get to reception. 1st floor in Europe, what we would call 2nd floor in USA.
Rooms are huge, some baths are small, some large, 14' ceilings and breakfast overlooking plaza and cathedral. Great neighborhood to explore Genoa from, close to everything but rail stations. And taxis are not allowed up Via de San Lorenzo, so you have to walk a short way up or down to get to plaza, but I did see some taxis come in, so just ask.
Staff is very friendly and helpful and spoke English.
