Great place!
This place was just the right size for one or two travelers. The kitchen was well stocked and great for meal preparation. But, for those meals where you don’t want to cook, everything you could want is a short walk away. Oh, and not to mention, it is right at the North Entrance to Yellowstone. Yeah, it was perfect!

Perfect Yellowstone Location!
This little 2-story home is located just seconds from Yellowstone National Park!!! The main living area is downstairs with a half bath. It was funny because the half bath is so small that the door doesn't open all the way before it hits the toilet. The main living area has cords hanging everywhere, which to someone like me, was very distracting. I am short so the sofa was not comfortable to sit on unless I had my feet up on the sitting area. The kitchen had what you needed to make meals but the oven could use some cleaning. Then there were the stairs - spiral stairs - making it impossible to get the suitcase up to the bedroom. It was a bit of an inconvenience but workable. We just took the luggage stands down to the living area and put the suitcase on them. The bedroom/bathroom was very comfortable once the air conditioner was turned on. It is a unique space and I would recommend staying here because of the location. If you have any issues navigating stairs this would not be the place to stay.

Perfect place for exploring Yellowstone!
We stayed here as a home base to visit Yellowstone for the last few days of our trip after staying one night at the Old Faithful Inn and Canyon lodge. It is so close to the north entrance which made it easy for us to come and go as we pleased. We loved the fact that we had a herd of elk that were right under the front deck and the male was bugling. There were great views from the place and it was well equipped for cooking meals. The bed was comfortable too! The only negative thing is the spiral staircase going up to the bedroom and main bathroom. We got used to it but it’s not easy to lug your suitcase up or down it. I think the listing should include pictures of that so people are aware. We would still stay again since the location couldn’t be beat!

Yellowstone at your front door
Location to Yellowstone North entrance was fantastic to be able to explore the park each day. The upstairs balcony was a nice place to relax at the end of the day and enjoy the views as well as people watch. The new gas grill was a nice bonus for us to be able to use during our stay. The kitchen has the basics. Could use a few more utensils and dinner ware. This was a great value for the location. Kim was very responsive when we had an issue checking in.

Perfect Location
The house was exactly as described. It was a perfect location as it was walking distance to the entrance of the park. It was a great landing spot. The only thing that would make it better is laundry on site, but there is a laundromat within walking distance. There is a bar that is close that plays live music until about 11pm so keep that in mind, but that is not to any fault of the owner.

We had a great 2.5 days in Gardiner and the Red Door was a great location. We loved exploring Yellowstone, but also loved eating and exploring in Gardiner. The house is simple, and perfect if you want to be able to access Yellowstone easily. We enjoyed the balcony off the bedroom!

Perfect for our Yellowstone Adventures!
This place couldn't have been easier access to the north entrance of Yellowstone! It was a perfect home base for us. Very comfortable bed, good shower, and the kitchen had everything we needed in it. We were even lucky enough to see a mama and baby elk roaming around the yard! Good coffee shop just down the street too. Only thing we wished it had was recycling and a pair of real scissors. Thanks for an awesome stay, Kim! Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay
We specifically looked for a place closer to the park entrance. We had a field seminar at Yellowstone Forever. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to go. Found breakfast, lunch and dinner options within walking distance. We also were super close to the YF classroom. The house itself was perfect size for two people. It was clean and comfortable. Parking was no trouble. Very quiet area. The spiral staircase was easy to navigate. I’m no spring chicken but was able to get a suitcase up to the bedroom level. Loved the pebble shower floor. Was like a foot massage while showering. The only very small and easily solved downside was the air conditioner was upstairs. It was about 100 degrees the first day. Took a few hours to cool off the house. But once cooled it was wonderful. We walked up to a restaurant near by to eat dinner and when we got back the house was cooler. Had zero issues the 3nights, four days we were there. We will definitely look to rent here again.

After a long day of hiking it was a perfect spot to settle. Everything we needed, which was mostly a comfy bed and shower. Location was amazing with our elk neighbors visiting daily. Cute balconies to chill at home, perfect. Plus 1 1/2 bathrooms was sweet for the 2 of us.

Fantastic Place
Super location to Yellow Stone park. Fun little town with lots of options. Cute, clean place to eat, rest and sleep. I feel we made an excellent choice staying here. The spiral steps was a slight disadvantage for my husband, but we managed. Parking was a small problem due to town being so busy in evening. Place was very clean, well managed.

Close to Yellowstone
Our stay in Gardiner, Montana was great. We were close to the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The house had a small kitchen, two bathrooms, and a large bedroom. I would have liked two more bath towels in addition to the two bath towels provided. There were restaurants, stores, and a laundromat nearby. The neighborhood was very quiet during our stay. The balcony off the upstairs bedroom was very nice.

Sad and cheated out of a clean/safe 2 week vacation.
We met the landlord and he is a very likable fellow. The kitchen is well set up and the very large bed is quite comfortable. That is why it pains me to write this.Approaching the property felt like we were in a slum. And once inside we felt dirty the entire stay. One thing missing in the pictures on VRBO is the narrow metal spiral staircase.BEWARE those with VERTIGO,OVERWEIGHT,SMALL CHILDREN,INFIRM,and OLD.I am 78 years old with a wee bit of vertigo and we did not feel safe on them. When the stairs were assembled the heads of most of the screws had been stripped and there were burrs projecting from them which doesn't feel good on the fingers. The back screen door has a badly broken handle that could end up cutting/injuring someone. The gas stovetop flame does not adjust and we question the oven. The windows had not been cleaned for some considerable time. Then opening the windows we noticed that the dirt had been accumulating on the sills for some considerable time and the breeze blew the dirt into the room. When I went to put things into the bedside stands I couldn't.The dark brown of the wood was gray from so much dust. The shower floor is made of rounded stones that are sunken only half way into the concrete leaving one feeling worse than walking barefooted on a pebble beach. They inflamed my plantar fasciitis. And the list goes on.It is a sad thing that someone has to pay for such living condition for their 2 week vacation.

We found the property to be exactly as described in the listing. Very clean, well stocked with all the necessities and comfortable. We especially liked having the extra half bath. From the balcony, the park entrance road can be seen two blocks away along with the elk grazing on the hillside. Gardiner is a lovely little town, eating, shopping and even the laundry are all walkable. We frequented the Perk and enjoyed a lovely meal at the Wonderland Cafe. Access to the park was easy through Mammoth Hot Springs.
