Staff was very friendly and provided much information on local places to dine and engage in. Room and bathroom were very clean. King bed was very comfortable. I will rent a room at Lone Pine Motel again.
The reception was amazing! He upgraded us to a comfortable, clean King size bed room with a new mattress at the back of the property. It was perfect. We really slept well on the new mattress- and it was quiet! Lived this cute motel and the price was very reasonable❤️
The owner is a lovely person and does what he can for his guests in a hotel that has clearly had a strange room layout since before he became the owner.
Room smelled like many cigarettes had been smoked inside (I’m a smoker). Garberville itself felt somewhat abandoned. Despite that, staff was friendly and the town has everything a traveler would need on the road
Wouldn’t recommend- bed sounded like a cross between a tin can & a dustbin lid every time either of us turned over. No hot water, no kettle or coffee maker. No plug sockets or light on one side of the bed.
The room is non smoking but the moment we get in it smells so bad. Fortunately, I have an odor eliminator spray. The air con is very loud , dusty and no filter. You can see the thick dust on the air vent in the bathroom. I was coughing through out the night. There’s a missing tile on the ceiling of shower room and loose tiles around it. It needs to be fixed for the safety of the guests. Booked online and it was the only available close by the Avenue of the giants on that day.
It’s not worth for the money I paid. Shower and sink all broken and door was not closing. There was no floor mat in the bathroom. Found spiders ran small insects inside bathroom.
You get what you pay for. I walked into the room and took a look around and bolted out the door. I dove down the street to best western and begged for a room. Then when returning the key he couldn’t understand why I didn’t want to stay. There was a one inch gap around the air conditioner that I could see outside.
I walked 620 miles on the Appalachian trail there were some nights where I would have paid anything for a room, but if I had come across this room I’d say I’m sleeping in my tent.
The worst part is I paid for three rooms today and only slept in one. Hopefully I can get reimbursed
A dump. The person (assume owner/operator) was very friendly at check-in. The motel is so outdated and just in very poor condition. Just very unhappy about the accommodations. Would never chose to stay here again. That said, the person at check-in was very pleasant and helpful.
This hotel was the nastiest rundown hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was dirty and there was used soap in the shower I’m guessing from previous occupant. The bed was hard as a rock. And the AC was just placed in a whole in the wall. Held in by cardboard and painters tape. You could see the outside through large cracks. And all the other people living/staying there spent the whole evening sitting in the parking lot smoking marijuana. If there had been another hotel close I would have left this one and went else where.
It’s a rough stay if you’re not used to rickety motel life. This is not a place anyone chooses to stay for any other reason than the price. Bring your own cleaning supplies and safety measures as well as bedding and pillows because this place is as rough as it gets. The only thing this place has going for it is that it was quiet. This is an out of town worker motel and that’s about it
