Everything you need
Apt was spacious and clean. Lovely view from the balcony across the bay and always in the sun. 2 bathrooms was very useful. Bedrooms good size. Fans available which was great due to excessive heat. Good kitchen. Bins downstairs in basement, easily accessed. Only downside was I hadn't realized that it was about a 30 min walk from main night life area and it's a steep walk back up the hill. However we used a taxi app and they were quite cheap.

Great stay
We have had a great week in Funchal and this property is lovely. Very spacious, well equipped and with comfortable beds. In terms of location, it's in a quiet residential area with views of the sea from the lovely balcony. I would say however that, unless you are hapoy using taxis, public transport or have a hire car, it's a VERY steep walk from the sea front, which would take you at least 30 minutes. We used taxis which are cheap and easily accessible (between €4 and €6) Whilst there is a washing machine we would have benefited from additional towels. There are two excellent bakeries nearby. We would certainly stay here again.
