Just stayed at Moonshadow Cabin on Whidbey Island in the Mutiny Bay Area. The cabin was immaculate, cozy, and very comfortable. The hosts really thought of everything to make you feel welcome. Little touches like a fluffy down comforter, soft linens, a perfectly appointed kitchen, and a fire TV stick with streaming services made our stay a pleasure. The grill is a charcoal grill, so be sure you bring brickettes if you plan to cook out. There is an outdoor table on the patio with an umbrella for your all-day enjoyment. Everything was in perfect working order, the pantry had an assortment of spices and coffee. Plenty of pots, pans, serving dishes, and utensils as well as a full size fridge and range, toaster oven, dish washer and microwave. Summer weather decided to arrive right as we did, but the hosts had included a fan for our comfort, and the air flow in the cabin is quite good. The pool is just a short walk away, and the beach is nearby as well. The garden is lovingly tended, and landscaping offers shade, lovely flowers, and a lawn for playing. Plenty of wildlife in the yard for your enjoyment; we saw bunnies, deer, and birds galore. The location is quiet, nothing but leaves rustling and birds chirping. Lovely view of the shipping lane, with sailboats and container ships passing. We enjoyed visiting Whidbey Ice Cream, just 5 minutes up the road, right across from the Payless Foods grocery store and Ace hardware store should you need anything during your stay. Upon arrival, there was cold water chilling in the fridge along with a bottle of chardonnay from our hosts. Dan, is very friendly and proactive in communications. Check in and check-out were a breeze. I would happily return here during a return visit, and wish we could have stayed longer.
