Great and relaxing property
We had a great stay in really nice recently renovated house. Perfect location for the wedding venue nearby. Enjoyed watching the deer in morning and evenings. There were small amenities that we do not often find in other VRBO’s. We would certainly stay here again!

We’ll be back…
Great home, very clean, and good proximity to town. We like to stay on the outskirts and the location of this home was perfect. Very quiet and loved seeing all the wildlife, especially the deer. We enjoyed hanging out with our friends in the backyard around the fire pit. We’ll definitely be back.

Great location close to enchanted rock
Great location close to enchanted rock. We enjoyed watching all of the deer at the deer feeder in the morning and it worked out perfect for us to wake up and head straight for our hike then clean up before we headed out.

It exceeded our expectations. The hike to the look out was perfect for watching the solar eclipse . Our little guy even did the hike with us because it was gradual enough for him . We loved wading in the creek with my son. it was his first time seeing little fish , and frogs and all the fun stuff . 😀 Everything was beautiful and clean. I highly recommend. I loved the shower head that felt like rain drops so much too lol 😊

Deer visited every day, as did the hummingbirds, and even a big black cow grazed by 😉 Be sure to walk the property to view wildflowers and butterflies of every color. House amenities were great and as advertised. Would stay again.

Excellent property in rural location, perfect for nature lovers. Very clean and tidy outside. Inside, property is gorgeous! Beautiful finishes and accessories. Well stocked, very comfortable. Host was excellent to work with. We are rebooking soon for this time next year! :-)

Fabulous property, great location.
Fabulous property with everything we needed for our stay. We wanted to be out of town - and this was a perfect location. About a 20min drive from Fredericksburg and less than 10mins from Enchanted Rock Park. The fire pit in the back yard was a great touch to make smores and star gaze! Our teenagers loved it. Das Enchanted Cottage is enchanting!
My friends and I had a delightful stay at Das Enchanted Cottage, located down the road from Enchanted Rock. The home was was spotless and spacious - there was plenty of space for six adult women who gathered together to cook and celebrate a birthday. In addition to hiking at Enchanted Rock, we hiked the trail behind the house and had a wonderful view of Crabapple Valley with its historical school building and church. Each morning and late afternoon during our stay, we would see a beautiful family of deer gather close to the house to graze, and the stargazing (during the new moon phase, meaning no moon) cannot be beat - I've never seen so many stars at one time in my life! The instructions were concise and clear, and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze. I highly recommend staying at Das Enchanted Cottage, and I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area!

Fantastic!
Great place to stay after visiting Fredericksburg. Completely remodeled, comfortable king size beds, lovely scenery. We hiked enchanted rock in the morning just a few minutes away.

Great house: The deer supplied a lot of entertainment, as well as the fire pit. Had some problems with hot water which the owner fixed same day. House is very close to Enchanted rock. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Impressive property
What a wonderful cottage!!! The owners thought of EVERYTHING that was needed....it was immaculately clean and well taken care of. Many of us enjoyed climbing the hill behind the property for a wonderful view. This property is conveniently located close to Enchanted Rock as well as Fredericksburg. When we come back to this area, we will definitely stay here again.

Amazing trip!
My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved our trip! The house was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, newly renovated, and spacious. We saw deer right outside our windows every day! It was magical! We enjoyed being 5 minutes from Enchanted Rock and close to nature. It was quiet and peaceful. The owners were very kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back when staying near Fredericksburg.

A+ Climbing Base for E-Rock
We rented this house for a 4 day climbing trip at E-Rock for myself, my son, and a couple friends. If your too old for tent camping, or just prefer a more comfortable experience, this place is perfect. Proximity to Enchanted Rock was key when early morning rain & fog delayed trail access a couple hours. And having a kitchen to prepare dinner and a table to eat at was the perfect ending to each day of climbing. Very nice property. We’ve stayed a lot of places when climbing at E-Rock, but this is the best yet.
